I installed four of these lights in my outdoor garden lighting system on the same day about two months ago. About a week or so ago, I noticed one is burnt out. The other three are still working fine. They are on approximately six hours every night. Originally, when the all four older bulbs had burned out, I bought four bulbs like these from a well-known hardware store chain for about $7 because, at that time, I was unsure if these were the right kind. The hardware store guy said on the phone he'd have to see the old ones I had because of the different sizes. However, after buying the ones they had, that were 10W and were too dim in my yard, I decided to try these and they're much brighter than 10W and fit just the same as the four bulbs for $7 at the hardware store. Can't say if those would last longer or not, since I had switched them out for these. However, I'm pleased with these bulbs and how they light up the yard.

Just received the 6 pack and installed the first one.Yes, I did wear a disposable glove to handle it. That is no lie with Halogen. Don't handle them with your oily bare hands. Probably a good idea to wipe every bulb down with a clean soft cloth in case there is any dust on them. The cleaner the better. Just don't use any fluids, just wipe it down. In fact, if these are used in a range hood like mine are, then don't forget to wipe down the fixture to get rid of obvious grease that may have accumulated.The packaging is great. Six little cardboard boxes with the light bulb in bubble pack inside. Great for long term storage in comparison to the blister pack set of two you might get at the local hardware store. You open the blister pack to get one bulb out and then what do you do with the other bulb? Not a problem for me anymore. Very happy so far.

Works well out of the box. It fit, it lit, it works. For how long I have no idea. But for now its an inexpensive bulb that does the job.

I have to agree with another reviewer that retailers often seem to understock this item. They don't understand the demand cycle and often consumers like me find ourselves going from store-to-store hoping to find this item instock with little success (Home Depot to Lowes to Ace and other locals). I usually find empty peg hooks at these retailers or only find one card left when needing about half a dozen or so. Stocking this item in good quantities is not going to tie up a lot of inventory dollars; so there is no real excuse other than to inflate the price substantially. Well, here's to ending that cycle! Buy them here on Amazon in enough quantities to last 6 months and the supply problem is gone. ..And by the way, this item is as good as the brand names too.

Just what I needed for my lamp. You get six bulbs for the price of one a great value for your money. Shipped quickly and packed well not one broken bulbs. The lighting is good.

These replacement bulbs work,thats all I really ask for. Remember like all Halogen bulbs if you touch them with your bare hands they will burn out fast, so use a paper towel or wear clean gloves when you install them. Nine months later the first bulb burned out, less than stellar performance but since they were so cheap and within two feet of the lamp it took all of two minutes to change it. It is still a good deal but keep the extra bulbs handy you may need them.

Worked perfectly. I had bought a previous item and it was wrong post size. This is the narrow 4 mm spacing and smaller post size which was exactly what I needed. First two I installed worked with no issues. My only problem was that I only needed 2 and it came in packs of 6. But I wanted to buy this exact one because one of the other reviews had confirmed this was the spacing and post size I needed.

I bought these to install in a Dacor Millennia Wall Mount Range Hood. The model numbers for this line of hood are:DHW301, DHW361, DHW421 and DHW482.The original equipment bulb (that had no number or it would be included in this review) had a price tag of about $19.00. I bought six of these for about $7.00. Exact fit and nice bright white light. Appear to be well made and come packaged in their own individual padded boxes overpacked by a container that holds all six.I'll update the review if they have longevity issues.
