With gyms being closed due to the pandemic and no signs of opening up any time soon, I started searching Amazon for some heavy(ish) dumbbells for my home gym. The minute I came across these babies, I swooped in and ordered. Experience has taught me not to procrastinate on high demand items, cuz if you snooze, you lose! Anyway, WF Athletic Supply had 80lb and 90lb, rubber coated hex dumbells in stock, so I ordered one pair of each. Received them much quicker than was stated. Three dumbbells arrived eight days from the day I ordered, the fourth, two days later. Not a big deal, it happens, orders are broken up all the time by the shipping companies. And I'm pretty sure the delivery guy, who hand carried them to my doorstep, didn't mind having one less DB to carry, lol As for the dumbbells themselves, they are of superior quality and do exactly what they're supposed to. They do have an odor of rubber, but its to be expected, they're rubber coated. Again, not a biggie

Not only are the weights of great quality, but I was super impressed by how fast they were shipped. We received them 5 days BEFORE the estimated delivery date!! Just know that each weight will likely be delivered separately (like ours) due to shipping logistics because if shipped together, the package would not probably survive the trip. But no worries, the 2nd weight was delivered the next day without any issue whatsoever.

Cat litter gets rid of the smell. Pop them in a sealed container and cover the weights completely with Freshstep and a box of baking soda. The next day, change the litter out and be sure to turn your weights. I’ve only ever used Freshstep. But I’m sure any other cat litter brand with odor absorption would suffice.Unfortunately they come from China, like everything else, and permeates the chemical odor heavily. Airing them out does nothing. You need the litter to counteract the chemicals. After sitting in litter 2-3 days, air out. You do it right the smell should be gone. Clean with soap and water and good to go.These are not CAP brand. The listing and some user review photos would lead you to believe they are. These are Walmart brand from a reseller. They look exactly like Amazon brand. You may as well save yourself the money and buy direct from Amazon because this seller is almost double.That said heavier weights are harder to find. I paid about $450 for a pair of 45 and 50 lbs sets. Before the pandemic, that would have been half that. At most.Buy Amazon brand. Nothing against this seller but there’s no incentive to pay twice the amount for non branded weights. It would be different if they actually were CAP.

Solid piece of quality equipment, the same if not better than what I use at my commercial gym. Dumbbells arrived earlier than expected, which is most impressive especially during the COVID-19 pandemic (supply shortage).

Even though the price was steep for a pair of 50 dumbbells, I must admit the dumbbells come in handy in the middle of a pandemic when you want to maintain bicep, shoulder and leg gains. The quality meet my expectations.

These dumbbells are of professional grade. As good or better than anything I had access to at the gym. They have a solid handle grip that allows the user to maintain full control. They are heavy duty and do not move once they are placed on the ground. They are heavy--the exact weight advertised. I have a pair of 30, 55, 80, 95, and 110 lbs. I use the light ones for arms and the heavier ones for dumbbell chest presses. They give me a great workout. I don't plan to return to the gym! They arrived when promised. Very satisfied. Thank you!
