This is my 2nd time trying a slow feeder, and this one is so much better than the one I had before! The other one I had made it too difficult for the cat to get at the food, with too many crevices that were way too narrow, and all it did was frustrate my poor cat. I eventually had to abandon the experiment. This feeder, on the other hand, is just right! It definitely slows him down so that he's not inhaling is food in a matter of seconds, as he did before, but at the same time, he can actually get at his morsels with a little adjusting and pawing, so he's not getting frustrated.So this is a winner. Being dishwasher safe makes for easy clean up, too. (Pain in the a$$ to clean by hand though.)

This product is very sturdy - it seems quite well made - but it didn't work for our cat. The pieces that stick out were way too high, and every time he tried to go in for a kibble we could hear his teeth hitting the ceramic and he was in obvious discomfort. We of course had to remove the dish immediately. This might better suit dogs with long tongues that can get in between the parts that stick out, or for a cat who uses their paw to bring food to their mouth. As it stands, it did not work for us and we had to get a different design of dish instead.

I really wanted to love this, as I have a 20 pound cat that scarfs and barfs, but he knows how to get what he wants from his hoomans. He will not work for his food when all he has to do is whine until they give in. So the concept is great, low enough edges for cats to get their paws in versus similar ones meant for dogs and bigger paws/mouths. I love that it is ceramic instead of plastic, but for now it has been put with the collection of other disliked cat bowls. I may bring it out again or save it for the next generation of cats.

My cat is quite small (8 pounds) and this plate does not prevent her from eating too fast. She threw up after the meal she ate on it. The slow feeder I'd been using was of the ball variety that lets out 2-3 pellets at a time. Guess I'll have to stick with that.

The feeder is small, attractive, and does what it was purchased for - slows down the feeding process for my cats. Since I have more than one household cat, I have multiple slow feeders. This one functions as intended.

I have three of these for my cats because they’re all fast eaters, to the point it makes them sick. Once we started using these, I’ve cleaned up much less vomit!!

I bought this for my scarf and bark kitty. She has figured out, somehow, how to still eat fairly quickly even with the complicated maze and design of this bowl. However, the bowl itself is of excellent quality. Very sturdy and pleasant to look at.

It is perfect for my Calico. It slows her down and she has no issue getting to the food around the higher peaks of the dish. I would definitely suggest this to friends or family with over eager eaters.
