Complete Divorce Recovery Handbook, The

Bought this like ten years ago and didn't review it then, but it really helped.

I read and reread this book several times after my divorce in 1998. At each stage of divorce recovery, the book had something new to say. The questions in each chapter made me reflect upon the part I played in the marriage failure, a painful but necessary step in healing. Each chapter also contained Biblical references that I found sometimes confronting and sometimes comforting, but also relevant. The author is especially persuasive in presenting ways to help your kids through divorce. I always recommend this book to my Christian friends who are hurting from the devastation of divorce.

I was looking for a divorce recovery handbook to find out how a divorce recovery class is put together and this book is what I found. I've been reading through it and really like how the author addresses each topic with timely information. I would recommend this handbook to anyone experiencing the emotional upheaval of divorce.

This book helped me to recognize, rather than ignore, my feelings. It took me through the steps needed to heal from my divorce.

The book had too much highlighting. Quite distracting for me. This should have been mentioned in the description. I will have to buy another one now to take it's place.
