Mojave Incident: Inspired by a Chilling Story of Alien Abduction

Poorly edited; reads like The National Enquirer
I don't know why this book was included in a list about true accounts of alien abduction I recently viewed. It is a novel, and not a well written one at that. Sentences are short and simple, making it read like a book for children. The grammar is appalling and there are frequent mistakes, sometimes several to a page. I'm not going to make it to the end.Spend your money elsewhere. If you're looking for true accounts, try anything by Budd Hopkins or Dr. John Mack.

Gripping abduction account
I suspect the Mojave Incident could be a reprint of Searchers: A True Story by the same author. I have read both books, many years apart, and both books seem to be similar in writing. I could be wrong as my memory is fading. If you wish to read the gripping tale of Tom and Elise Gifford I'd suggest buying the Mojave Incident as you can read it on the Kindle. Both Tom and Elise were abducted while on a camping trip in the desert near Mitchell Caverns. After their experience that included seeing a large UFO and numerous alien entities, the couple was tracked by their captors which lead to the couple seeking psychiatric help from Dr. William Anixter at the Mountain Center of Psychiatry in Asheville, North Carolina. Anixter hypnotized the couple and through hypnosis learned what happened to them in October 1989."The most compelling case of its kind I have ever encountered," said Anixter. I agree.Recommend.

Cheap western novel pretending to be about Extraterrestrial contact
Saw the Paranormal Witness episode and loved it. Incredible! I’ve had a close encounter myself so am always interested in hearing others stories. I was reeeeaaly disappointed 😞 in the book and even almost hated it ....except for the book cover design. The guy was more interested in writing his own version. I skimmed through the pages eventually to see if I could learn anymore details. Not much.

I had not heard of this incident previously and was skeptical as the story itself was so strange. Then by accident I came across an episode of Paranormal Witness and this was given a full one hour episode. The strange details were presented in the episode as well and their translation being very similar to what the book tells as the story itself. Read the book, see the episode and scratch your head and wonder how this couple survived if true.

Food for thought!
I thought this was going to be just another abduction story, but it’s more than that. When they had regression therapy and filled in some of the blanks, it gave me chills. I started to wonder about a lot of things. What exactly is the truth? It left me with so many questions about everything I was taught.

Don't Buy
Disappointing - does not compare with other books on the subject of abductions. Not well-written or documented, and the people are not particularly likable/believable. Incident might have happened, but it appears to have been "elaborated" - belongs in the genre of science fiction.

Riveting, macabre, very well written
This is the scariest story I've ever read on this topic. I'm only 1/2 way through, and I'm torn: having a hard time putting it down, but not sure I want to know the rest of the story. Wow, very well written. -- The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the definition of that is "I love it", and I can't say I love a story this macabre.

Good Read
"Chilling" is a good description for this book. Like any story involving an abduction scenario, some details seem to come out of the insane asylum, but if we're looking at something really extraterrestrial in nature, high strangeness is to be expected. The story is well written and reads like a novel. The witnesses seems credible, read the book and judge for yourself whether to believe or nottheir fantastic adventure in the desert.

The first third of the book reads as fiction as there's no way people would remember a ton of conversations word for word from 1989.Then at the end of the book there's a very small account of what allegedly happened. I believe this book is mainly fiction.I would have steered clear of it.

Terrifying
This is a terrifyingly convincing account of an alien abduction, more detailed than anything you will have read previously. It is so thought provoking that I had to walk away from it several times to get my head around it before I continued.

Excellent case and very well written.
Very well written case put together in an interesting and compelling way. Not your usual encounter , especially with the amount if beings encountered , but still has all the hallmarks you'd expect from a very close encounter.
