Excellent value
I feel like this meter is a really good value. I'm an electronics technician by trade, and while this is no Fluke meter, I find myself using it more often then my Flukes for daily work, especially in the field as it is so small and portable. The light function is handy, and has a timeout feature to prevent unnecessary battery drain. The selection knob feels sturdy, and has well defined detents for each setting. Display is crisp and easy to read, and is also lit up with the light function, making it easy to see in dark corners and cabinets. In the past I have had a similar unit that had the retractable positive probe, and I've found that those models quickly break under regular use and start to cause intermittent and unreliable readings - this unit has a fixed positive probe, which was a requirement for me after dealing with the fragile retractable ones.I only have two complaints with this unit: 1.) The beep needs to be louder, especially for continuity. When using in an environment with any noise, it can be really hard to hear. 2.) I really wish the negative probe was detachable with a banana style plug. Not a big deal, but I have found myself wanting to use a different lead on it now and again.Overall, for the money, I think this meter is a really good value and a worthwhile addition to any professional or amateur toolbox, so long as you understand it's limitations and don't expect it to perform equal to a $200.00 meter.

Good quality, great value, a few frustrations but definitely recommended.
This DMM is a bargain and it works great. It's my first pen-type DMM and I'm kicking myself for not getting one years ago. Having non-contact voltage detection is a DMM this size is awesome. Quality appears to be quite good. For the price, this is an outstanding value.I do have a few complaints, but, given the price, I did not let these minor nits affect my rating.1) The biggest complaint is that the beeper for continuity testing is almost inaudible. I can hear it if I listen carefully and there is no ambient noise. If you are in a noisy location, around equipment, etc., you can forget about audible feedback on continuity.2) The lead to the probe can't be detached from the body. This is a pain for non-contact voltage detection and a huge pain when putting the DMM back in to its case.3) Overall, the case is poorly thought out and frustrating to use. There's no place to store the accessories -- you just have to stuff them in the case and watch to make sure they don't fall out when you are removing the DMM. And, as mentioned earlier, getting the DMM and the lead back in to the case is a PITA.

Big stapler
It will better if the lead is connected by a banana plug like other ones instead being attached and dangling all the time.It is like a big stapler. I bought this because it has a NCV but it is weak; you have get real close to get a detection. You could hardly hear and see the alert if it detect anything. So I purchase another smaller NCV detector instead for this.

AC not accurate
This is a quick review of the AIMOmeter MS8211 purchased in February 2018 from Amazon.I purchased this to test batteries and to help trouble shoot electrical problems at home and in the workplace.I really like the simple design with the one probe attached to the front of the meter. Holding the meter/probe in one hand is a great plus.It seemed to be fairly accurate when I first got it. Actually, it’s still accurate on the DC side. The problem is the AC side is way off! I get a 36v reading on house voltage when it should be 120v!I continue to use it now, but for DC only.

love it!
I use a fluke far daily use but I need something to carry in my truck that doesn't take much room. this is perfect!UPDATE:One thing I do find super annoying is that the light shuts off way too quickly, there's nothing more frustrating than contorting under a dashboard and light shuts off at very moment you need it most.I'd definitely not buy this multimeter knowing the led light was useless.

that works great not over sensitive like others continuity testers a little ...
bought because it was same price as a ticker and had a NCV function, that works great not over sensitive like others continuity testers a little weak other than that no complaints worth 20 bucks

Great Meter
Like it a lot. Wish the negative probe disconnected, but that is my only complaint. The backlight on the numbers along with the LED in front is very handy in dark panels.

Nice problem solver....
For the money it is awesome. I am a 43 year veteran of auto repairs and this is a nice unit to grab and do a few quick voltage or impedance tests without breaking out all the other equipment. I have $200-900 meters and scopes and now I use this most of the time.
