** Update Great customer service at ANKER** Connector on jumper cable breaks after one use
Connector on jumper cable breaks after one use, past return period obviously how often do you jump your car. Poor build quality on the cable junction on the 12v- cable.**UpdateI contacted ANKER directly through customer service email, I had a reply within 24 hours requesting a confirmation of my shipping address so they could ship me a new cable assembly. New cable arrived a few days later. ANKER gets a few extra stars on this one for customer service.

Reliable, Convenient, Portable and Compact
Reliable, Convenient, Portable and CompactI bought two of these. One went to our local SRO (School Resource Officer) to keep at the school. He used it multiple times the day I gave it to him. Two of them were for parents, one was for a staff worker and one for his patrol car when their batteries died. He use to have to use cumbersome jumping cables that were a pain to get in and out of the car. Not to mention that if he couldn’t park his car right next to the needed vehicle it was no go. However, with this unit he could go up to any vehicle, no matter where it was parked, and attach the cables. A few seconds later their vehicle would start and they were on their way.The second unit I keep in my car. The carrying case is a little bigger than I wanted. It doesn’t fit in the glove box so I keep it in the trunk. It is a little heavier than another model I got for a family member. However, the convenience and reliability is worth it! It comes with three attachments that fit in the case with the charging unit. It’s easy and fast to hook up and charge. It also has a flashlight which is nice for dark nights or dark engines. It has indicator lights on the side to let you now when it needs to be charged.

Great jump starter that has saved me a bunch of times.
I bought this because I've owned Anker chargers previously and have considered their products to be well built, so was hoping this would apply to the car jump starter as well. Was not disappointed. I've used it successfully to jump start a car I have in storage about 1/2 a dozen times, and it's performed flawlessly every time.Using it is pretty easy:1) Connect the jump starter cable to the port (which is covered by a rubber flap). The plug is keyed, so just look at it and line it up.2) Clamp on to battery terminals.3) If done correctly, the indicator light on the jump starter cable will light up green.4) Start the car. Once the engine is running, the indicator light should turn red and start beeping rapidly to indicate that you should disconnect it.Once, I had it not light up due to a dead battery and it triggered a faulty indicator. When this happens, disconnect the jump starter cable from the Anker charger to reset the safety circuit. Then, turn on the parking lights or turn the key to ACC / IGN. Then, reconnect the jumper cable to the charger and clamp to the vehicle battery terminals. The goal is to have the safety circuitry detect a small current draw similar to what it would expect when connected to a weak battery. It's rated to start your car up to 15 times. I believe that these claims are not unreasonable as just today, I used it 3 times and the battery bar still shows 4/4. Of course, your mileage will vary depending on the type of engine and starter you have on your vehicle.LED flashlight is pretty decent and can come in handy during a jump start at night. It comes in a nice rugged clamshell zippered case. One half holds the charger itself in a padded compartment. Other half is a mesh pocket that holds all the miscellaneous cables and chargers.Only complaint I have is that you can only charge it with the included AC or 12V charger cables, it doesn't accept a standard mini or micro USB. It does have USB outlets to charge your devices. I had originally bought it with the intention of also using it as a battery pack when traveling but decided against it when I realized I'd have to take the proprietary charger plug and cord that came with it, didn't want to risk losing it. So it's relegated to its sole function as a jump starter when it could be so much more :(

I've only had this for a couple of weeks but it is amazing. I have an intermittent issue with my car that it won't start all the way it can take up to a half hour to start unless you jump it then it starts right away and since it didn't happen at the dealer I got a nice bill and no fix. So with this thing if the car doesn't start right away I just hook this up start it and am on my way awesome fix until I can get the real fix.

V4-V8, will jump a vehicle in a pinch! Perfect for camping!
Well, this was a 2015 Christmas purchase for my sister. It was never used until recently. My sister only recently started having car troubles. So, during this past winter, it was carried around in her car and was able to jump her V4 engine. Fast forward to a recent camping trip, another camper realized his truck had died and asked my sister for a jump. Instead of driving her car with children to his location, she handed this charger to the guy and wished him luck.It started a V8 engine and still had 3 bars. He returned the battery charger amazed. Asked where she purchased it. She said it was a gift.Needless to say, I can finally write a review for this item! Hopefully, whoever carries it, still sells it!
