Horribly Made
My original review is below. Barfly did send me a new product no questions asked when I sent pictures of my broken one. I still had to play with the Barfly 2.0 for around 20 minutes before actually using it. Other than having to break it in, it has worked fine since with my Edge 500.I couldn't believe that the device broke the first few times I twisted in my Garmin 500. I tried twisting in my Garmin a few times before mounting the Barfly 2.0 on my bike and it seemed ridiculously tight. I thought that I would just have to break it in even though I didn't have to break in Garmin's mount. I tossed it on my bike and it broke when I put my Garmin in. It never even made it on a ride, which to me would warrant a zero star rating but 1 is the lowest option. Tate Labs, the maker of the Barfly, does offer a replacement program but they don't cover shipping. Why would anyone want a replacement of a poorly designed product, let alone pay more money for an issue caused from normal use? I'm going to return this for a full refund. Stay away from the Barfly and Tate Labs for that matter.

Terrific mount!
What a a nice step up from the rubber band based stock mount! My Edge 500 now sits just in front and center of the stem. Looks very slick. This position also makes it more readable. The mount doesn't budge when pressing the computer's buttons (the stock one does).I considered the K-Edge mount, which is sleeker (metal vs plastic and costs twice), but what swayed me to the Barfly2.0 is its clever dual mounting positions. I use the near mount for the smaller Edge 500 (as opposed to the Edge 800 series). This sits the unit closer to the stem for a sleeker look.As the bikeradar review pointed out, the mount will not center with stem faceplates wider than 40mm. I am very picky about things like this and it would have been a deal breaker. I solved this problem by carefully shaving off about 2 mm of material where the mounting ring meets the stem and its face plate. Obviously, I've voided the warranty, but I am very happy with the results. Of course, if you do the same thing, you'd be doing it entirely at your own risk!

Bar Fly 2.0 Bicycle Mount
The Bar Fly 2.0 is a fantastic upgrade! I've owned both the original Bar Fly 1.0 and the Bar Fly 1.1. The 1.1 added a nice "click" at the physical stop when mounting a Garmin Edge. Having said that, the Bar Fly 2.0 has a MUCH BETTER/MORE SECURE "click" when you hit the physical stop. I own both a Garmin Edge 500 and the larger Garmin Edge 810. Both Garmin units completely cover the Bar Fly 2.0 when "clicked" in. The Garmin Edge 500 can be used in either the forward or aft mounting slot while Garmin Edge 810 must use the forward mounting slot. I find using the forward mounting slot for both the Garmin Edge 500 and the Garmin Edge 810 to be the easiest. The Bar Fly 2.0 is without a doubt a "beefier/sturdier" upgrade to the Bar Fly 1.0 and 1.1. The way they've designed the Bar Fly 2.0 to allow a Garmin Edge to be flush with the handlebars/stem is also a very nice touch. If you own a Garmin Edge, you'll love the Bar Fly 2.0!

Well worth the price
I was considering either the Bar Fly 2.0 or the K Edge Garmin mount, and decided to go with the Bar Fly based on the price versus the K Edge, and because a close cycling friend also uses the Bar Fly and had very positive feedback. The reach distance on the Bar Fly is ideal and the mount is very sturdy considering it is a hard plastic vs machined aluminum on the K Edge. I was also turned off from the K Edge because of previous reviewers stating they have had the mounting tabs of their Garmin broken off.For the price and value of the Bar Fly it is pretty hard to resist. It is also my hope that Bar Fly will produce a Garmin mount that also incorporates a GoPro mount into it as well. I assume that it will happen sooner than later now that K Edge has also developed this mount but it carries a $65 price tag.

Great mount for your Garmin
The mount holds my Garmin 500 over tough terrain with no problems. Positive click to know that it engaged and I like the forward mounting position that place mt Garmin inline with my stem instead of above it. I was concerned that it maybe harder to reach the buttons with the Garmin lower but not at all. Great price too! I am not sure if one that cost double the price could do a better job. Tate Labs is a small USA company that also makes there products here too and comes with a lifetime warranty! Kudos to them. From a design standpoint I like that in the event that the mounting bolt was loose or even fell out that the mount cannot just fall off the bike like other styles that have an hinge. The unit also has two mounting options for the Garmin 200, 500 and 510 which is also nice!

Does not fit Garmin 1000
Just in case it's not clear from the description here, this DOES NOT FIT the Garmin Edge 1000 at all.Aside from that, I like these mounts. Dead simple, minimal and light, very sturdy, and positions the computer below the top of the road bike brake hoods (so the bike can be balanced upside-down on the hoods and saddle for working on it, or for some theoretical aerodynamic advantage in frontal area). Garmin's out-front mount, by contrast, puts the computer up high which means it fits any size device. The two mount positions are designed for 500/510 and 800/810 size computers, and work fine.

Nice Mount
It was an easy install and appears to supply a solid mount for my Garmin Edge 810 - sounding a click when snapping into the mount. This is the first mount I purchased and the Garmin appears to securely mount flush with the handlebars. I've used the mount for about 70 miles, the majority of it over smooth roads with a few rough stretches and the 3 mm set screw has not loosened, The Bar Fly 2.0 does not supply much space between the Garmin 810 and handlebars and I have to wonder if I'll be able to connect a portable charger to the Garmin while it's secured in the mount. That said, I doubt I'll need to recharge the Garmin within one ride.

This is my second, to put on my new bike. I wouldn't buy any other product. This does exactly what it's intended.
