Great Old school Benchmark standard
I've had a model 1250n for a very long time and it's never failed . No battery's or cords to worry about . However you must maintain a constant crank speed ( there's a led speed indicator) to alert you . It's more involved to operate than electronic units but it has been an old school benchmark megger forever . I use mine to augment my electronic units .

Works all the time - no battery required
When you're testing something you definitely don't want the batteries to konk out in the middle of a job. This one depends on you to crank the windings for power, but it doesn't take much - dependable and easy to use. Ans for a meggar, the price was right.
