this smells and feels so lovely, use everyday
I have been using some of the other Gryph & Ivyrose products so I decided to try the body wash. I have very sensitive skin so I tend to gravitate towards children products for certain bath & body goods, the Gryph & Ivyrose line is particularly special because it’s made with Chinese herbs - as an acupuncturist I greatly appreciate the formulation.Opening the cap this body wash has a very subtle scent. It’s sort of floral, but not overpowering. Just a hint of fresh chrysanthemum. I put a couple drops on a my loofah to apply. Once it suds up it actually brings out the scent in such pleasant way. Like I’m bathing in flower-y summer tea. I tend to gravitate towards woodsy smells, because it’s so hard to find a product that isn’t too floral or overly sweet in an artificial way. This however is more delicate in the perfect way. It’s uplifting and refreshing.I also love that is has tremella (aka bai mu er in Chinese medicine). it’s a mushroom that is very good for the skin, and skin tissue regeneration. Using just a small amount of this body wash daily in my shower my skin feels fresh and supple.I plan to give this to a friend with a kid - I imagine children would love the scent. And I feel good to be sharing a product that is safe for kids - so many products have toxic chemicals that eventually become endocrine disruptors, all the stuff we put on our bodies get absorbed. I’m huge supporter of this line because they sincerely consider the consumer and family care.If you’re looking for a delightful body wash with wonderful ingredients, highly recommend. No matter your age. I could see this being nice for elderly, mature skin as well since it’s light and nurturing.

Greenwashing
This product contains the ingredient “fragrance”. You cannot claim this product is toxin free while that’s included in it. Do not buy if you’re looking for a safe, non toxic baby wash. This isn’t it.

Smells Way Too Strong
The fragrance of this body wash is unnecessarily strong, and way too sweet for my taste. I also hate the packaging. The tiny cap is frustrating to open when I’m trying to bathe a squirmy toddler with a shower hose in one hand and a washcloth in the other. It is easy to close though. I appreciate that they’re trying to use less plastic, but I wish they offered a reusable glass bottle with a pump (especially at this high price) and perhaps offered this current pouch as a cheaper refill option. I usually need a little more than a quarter size glob to get a decent lather going. Sometimes I have to use another glob of body wash because it stops lathering if I’m cleaning a particularly dirty kid. So it’s not economic for me by any means. You have to use extra care when pouring out because the gel is pretty thin and pours out quickly from the soft pouch. I have also tried to use this as a bubble bath and failed miserably. Maybe it is because of the moisturizing/oil content, but it will ruin the bubbles in a bubble bath. So make sure you rinse the tub really well and make sure there’s no Gryph & Ivy body wash residue on the skin or tub at all, or your bubble bath soap won’t produce as many bubbles. The positive? The body wash itself is very moisturizing, and leaves my toddler’s skin really soft without any hint of dryness and really clean (as long as I use plenty of product). The ingredients are really great, but this just didn’t work for my family. The strong smell and weird packaging turned me off. I will stick with Mustela until I find a better alternative.

I did not like the soft container
This wash is "okay". Gryth and IvyRose body wash has a non-perfumed scent that I find somewhat unpleasant. It does not generate suds when I use it as a wash, and it does not generate bubbles when I pour into the tub to use as a bubble bath.It comes in a soft pouch container. The container has the same style as baby food squeeze containers. What I don't like about it is that it becomes very slippery when wet and its softness and fairly large opening make it hard to control the amount you pour out (compared to a bottle with a pop-up cap or a pump). This is my first time using a pouch for body wash and I did not think it was ideal. After a few uses, I transferred it to a pump container for usage. The wash itself is fine, it cleans gently without side effects.I was disappointed that Amazon description does not include a full list of ingredients. The list of ingredients was provided on the pouch so I scanned the package side for those who would like to see them:Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurote, Lauryl Glucoslde, Glyceryl Stearate SE. ngdrolyred Quinoa, Simmondsla Chlnensls (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Glycerides Polygkjcerln-10 Esters, Coco-Glucoslde, Tramelia Fuciformis (Mushrooiri) Seed Extract, Coix Locrgma-Jobl Ma-yuen extract, Lycium Barbarum (Goji) Fruit Extract, Chrysanthemum sinense Ftower Extract, Viola Yedoensis Extract, Codonopsis Tangshwi Root Exract.
