Phantom 3 Reinforcement Plates

My drone has some serious cracks! Thanks for that DJi. These plates have kept the cracks from getting worse, and I've flown it many times. The person who made these is a freaking genius, lol. I chose to get the plastic plates instead of metal because it's easier to bond plastic to plastic, than metal to plastic in case I decided to use glue down the road. However, with the screws supplied, no glue, these have done the trick in keeping my poorly made drone in the air. Not happy about the phantom design flaw, but this fix makes me happy. Thanks a lot plastic reinforcing washer inventor guy. You are awesome!

They seem to do the trick. Time will tell if they stop the cracking on the Phantom motor arms. The only way to tell will be to remove them and inspect the arms after numerous flights. It is nice that they come with a few extra screws in case some come loose and fall out. It is recommended that you use clear finger nail polish as a thread locker to prevent them from coming loose. I did use clear polish and so far they are not coming loose.

Fit exactly as it should. Had to trim a small amount of foam around the area for my P3A to fit easily in my hard case. That's not a design flaw though. I've flown about 3 hours since I've had them so it is a little early for a long term verdict on their efficacy.

Got this item yesterday, had no screws in the package. Called Amazon, they would only offer me a partial refund and said I would have to purchase the screws myself. Finish is very jagged. There are a lot of very sharp edges and extra material protruding from edges. I will have to file these edges just to make them fit properly. With the extra to,e to go track down specialty screws I should just order from somewhere else.

I purchased these plates when I had about 70 flights on my P3P and three hairline cracks in two arms. I now have about 100 flights and no new cracks nor progression in existing cracks. The only minor issue I countered was the loss of one screw and others becoming loose. Gary at UAV Bits suggested the use of finger nail polish to lock the screws in place. After some experimentation on the amount of polish needed, I have had no further loose screws. I recommend the product.

They prevent fracture in the arms. Or at least delay them from occurring.
