Not very durable
I had to fix the trimmer line approximately every 10 feet while using it on very small/light weeds and grass. It would constantly break off inside the trimmer head approximately every 30 seconds, so I had to stop and take it apart to fix it. Needless to say it is not very durable. It would get caught inside the trimmer head, and one time it appeared to have melted and stuck to itself. I never had trimming line do that before. I think using shoe string licorice would work better. I went though about 12 feet of trimming line on approximately 50 or 60 feet of fence line. I am just glad this happened at the end of my trimming because if it had done this for my entire yard, then I would have been even more upset with the product than I am now. My previous spool of trimming line, which was only about a fourth the length of this spool, lasted almost four years. I expect this 1,446 foot spool might last a year. I think it is too late to ask for a refund, so this will probably end up at the thrift store or in the trash if I keep having this kind of trouble with it.

It is better than the cheap line......but how much better?
I'd been using typical six sided .095 line and was curious just how 'heavy-duty' this square stuff was. I cut lawns commercially and so I do a lot of weed eating. That being the case I got the opportunity to really put this stuff to the test with a lot of hours of use very quickly. What I found was that, however they managed it with this stuff, this line is insanely tough. Just having done a lot of weed eating, I know a few tricks to help my line last longer, since taking the time to replace line (even if its a speed-load trimmer head) or get new line from the truck cuts into the time it takes to get the job done.Over the course of several weeks using this stuff, I realized that I barely had to bump to trimmer head to allow additional line out, and if I was careful, I could get a massive job done without a single bump. As an example, one of the accounts I do is 2.5 acres which requires a huge amount of trimming. My previous 'best' with the old six-sided line I was using was 2 bumps to complete the account. With this line, I managed to complete the account without bumping once, and then completed two additional small 0.25 acre accounts without bumping as well. It's difficult to say exactly how much tougher this stuff is than anything else I've tried since there's so many variables when doing the accounts, but that should at least give you an idea.

Very brittle, poor durability
It's a good thing this stuff comes on a ~1400ft spool, because you'll go through it in a season if you have ANY hardscape in your yard. From the outset, this stuff feels very stiff and brittle coming off the spool, and the prophecy comes true once you put it in your trimmer. It's OK for trimming "Soft" edges like around flower beds or similar, but, the minute it comes in contact with any hardscape (rock borders, pavers, curbs, etc) it just blows to pieces. I have a rather small yard, but a fair amount of metal fence line, rock borders, and other obstacles to get through; I literally have to respool my trimmer (~36 ft of line) every-other session no matter how careful I am.On the bright side, I guess that means I'll blow through this big spool in a single season and can re-up with something more durable... like some monofilament fishing line or dental floss.

Do I Really Have to Use All This?
This is a bunch of line.So looking at it just makes me tired. Will I really ever get through it all?Why me?OK, actually, it seems to hold up pretty good. Understand that any kind of line trimmer is a trade-off between: line the doesn't cut anything versus line that cuts things you don't want it to cut like the feed-point of the head of your trimmer....This seems a good balance. Why not make it brown or camouflage so I don't have to go back and pick up all the neon-green pieces. Just askin'.

It has the Oregon name, but....
I run a lawn service, I normally buy the Magnum Gatorline Supertwist, using that I was refilling once a week. With this stuff I'm refilling almost daily.....if you do a lot of trimming you should avoid this line.

Good for the price
Doesn’t seem to last as long as my previous cord but it gets the job done. Plus with the amount you get your not gonna run out anytime soon. I have 2.25 acres and I use it for grass up to small brush and trees.
