Not Bad !
I was a little Leary about purchasing this I was worried it was going to be unsuitable for what I had initially purchased it for. That being said here is my opinion. It’s not made from thick or double walled metal. It’s on the thinner side of things not as thin as sheet metal duct work but it’s close! That’s not bad it makes it lighter weight but leaves it less sturdy. It has Sharp edges seriously watch yourself when handling this stuff because if you end up grabbing at it at the wrong angle, using too much force or speed and you grab the wrong part of it you can potentially end up getting a “Box Bite”. It has the potential to flip your relaxing evening sideways😳 and land you in a local 🧑🏻⚕️🩹Hospital ER waiting room dripping 🩸crimson 🩸from a “SURPRISE !!!!🎉🎊 “ 🤦🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️Laceration 🔪💥to your ✋🏻👈🏻 Bunch O’Fives 😭. In my excitement upon The Box’s Arrival and Debuting it to my Partner 😑 I actually did end up Snagging one of my wayward digits at a Pinch Point where the Lid and bottom body of the box meet via the lid hinge at the rear of the Box. Thank The Gods my brain figured out the danger when it felt the initial pressure of the lid starting to scissor down on my left index and middle finger. There was no spontaneous finger removal via Sunday afternoon “Surprise Guillotine” my ability to Five Finger Death Punch 🤜🏻 remains intact 👉🏻🥷🏻👌🏻. This over all suits my purpose. But honestly this isn’t the kind of box that you want to keep expensive Ancient Gold Coins, Ghost Guns, Illegal Narcotics, or Your Collection Of Blood Diamonds stored in primarily. I actually purchased this to further secure my growing collection of Graded South African Gold & Silver Krugerrands. I padlocked this and placed it inside my 600lb Firearm storage Safe that two other people have access to, it’s a sort of an Added Second level of Private Secure Storage in an already secured storage vault. It wouldn’t be bad to throw in your vehicle for something not seriously valuable that you just didn’t want easily accessible if someone broke into your car. I plan on getting a couple more for my Jeep Gladiator and my significant other’s Dodge TRX. At this price point you can’t find anything else that matches this or comes close to being as secure. Buy one and try it out yourself I’m sure you’ll be happy with it overall but it’s not a serious Safe! Just watch the edges or you might end up deli slicering off a few digits…..

one can easily stick a thin metal screwdriver and pry it enough ...
A few things I will note off the bat is the box is totally not burglar proof. The main access point would be the space between the lid corners, one can easily stick a thin metal screwdriver and pry it enough to bend the lid. Now, the metal is quite tough and you’d have to really really work at it to open it. The inner lid edges on all side and the inner top of the box all have the metal bent in on itself, I found nothing sharp about it and it works to maintain its shape. The only thing I found I disliked about the box were the inner rivets that stick out at about 1/8”. The shank hole was quite misleading, I had read that no regular locker locks worked but it still looks large in the pictures. I had a small luggage lock with a key & that works perfectly. The dimensions are true to size, and both the lid and box have a nice snug fit, not loose at all. I mainly purchased this box for field collections and wanted a metal box to avoid crushing any delicate items in my pack. While I found it was not as light weight as others have reviewed, it would be fine for a short trip attached to a pack, but would weigh you down eventually. I definitely recommend the box for other functions other than to keep really valuable things safe. Away from prying eyes definitely will work, like nanny’s or housekeepers or other strangers one allows in the home. But I don’t recommend for someone who thinks someone could walk off with it, because eventually they’d be able to open it.

great lunch box
I love it. I needed a type of 'lunch box' for our work freezer since unscrupulous coworkers were pillaging my goodies/ice cream bars etc. I already had some tine padlocks so this worked out perfect. It is quite comical seeing in the work fridge though, like Fort Knox protecting my coffee crunch ice cream bars and burritos.

Handle with Care
This metal box has some very sharp edges and can easily cut you when it is handled. The construction is of poor quality with rivets inside the box not flush with the metal. The lid does not fit properly, and the sides have to be pushed in for it to close. This box should NOT be used as a valuable safe as indicated in the pictures for the product. It would easily be pried open at the rivets, henges, or lock due to poor rivet attachment. A metal ammo box would have been a better choice if you are looking for a cheap lockable safe I will keep the box but will have to sandpaper the shape edges. I am not using it as a safe and it will work as a seed packet storage box. I would not buy this product again.

Seal nice with a little force
The seal is tight but if I don’t push the front inward I cannot close the box. Otherwise works as designed and fits my needs nicely

Faraday Box
I use as a "Faraday" box for car fob and phones. Radio signal can't get in or out. Zinc coated - light weight, no sharp edges. Could be locked. Easy to use. Car thieves read your fob with special programs, then use the captured fob signal ID to open and steal the car as though the fob was used. Not insulated for fire resistance.

good enough for what it's for
I purchased this box to secure a few bike tools on my bike (pump, spare tubes, chain link etc.) It fits crossways into the front basket and is secured to the bike. It'll keep the honest people honest- that's about all, but it's enough. A determined thief wouldn't be deterred for long- so don't buy it for anything serious.
