Crash Landing On You (6-DVD Korean Drama, English Sub)

More than 5 Stars for this K-drama! First, though, the quality of the dvd wasn't ideal. The picture at the beginning of the first dvd has a smeary look to it, but the quality improved...wasn't bad enough to send it back. Also, the English subtitles turn off if you fast forward to another chapter...you have to keep resetting the choice for English. Subtitles are okay if you just keep watching straight through, only a problem if you skip ahead. Now, for the show itself. I stumbled across this show during COVID-19 but, for whatever crazy reason I found it, I am so glad I did! I have since watched other K-dramas, but this is still the best by far. Funny, romantic, exciting, sad...so many emotions. The two lead actors were made for these roles. I can't wait to see what they will do next. They are totally believable and authentic, besides being amazing at portraying their growing relationship. Dialogue is great, poignant, clever and funny. I'm looking for other shows by this screenwriter. The secondary characters are wonderful, especially the North Korean village women and the soldiers. It is a fascinating look at South and North Korean cultures. I'm repeating what others have said, and won't give anything away, but how about the last scene with Man Bok? What a sweet ending for him! I don't usually review items and hardly ever buy a dvd, especially an expensive set, but this show blew me away and will remain one of my all-time favorites.

I watched "Crash Landing" on line through Netflix--three times--and talked with fans on MyDramaList for months. I do not do that. Ever. Now I finally have my own copy of it. People say that DVD's and DVD players are on the way out, supplanted by streaming, which I also love. However, there are no guarantees of streaming video platforms from year to year (see Drama Fever), or that they follow our own tastes. So I always order a DVD copy of the KDramas that move me most deeply. I have about a couple dozen on my shelf. This is the one I waited for most anxiously, because this is the love story of my own life without the 'dear leader' aspect and which moved my soul because I see Capt. Ri so clearly. It is also Hyun Bin in his greatest role. This is not the star of Secret Garden, though I love him, too. But this is Captain Ri--created by Hyun Bin. And, though I love Son Ye Jin as well, that is the magic of this series.

I purchased this box set to gain access to the music CDs but I didn't watch the series previously so I binge watched all sixteen episodes over a couple of days. This is a beautiful story with beautiful music. I don't know how accurate the portrayal of life in North Korea is (I read 60%), but it paints a picture that we're all people, no matter our politics. We have something to learn from this ... we all have to learn to live and love together.My quibbles are:1. There appear to be ads running in the videos2. There weren't any supplemental materials. One of the nice things about a box set is they often (always) contain extra material (outtakes, deleted scenes, making of, etc.) Alas, nothing.However, it is a great story and well worth whatever I paid for it; I don't care.

I could not believe how much I loved this movie. It was an absolute delight. l loved the storyline and all the chaacters. I hope that you can do a Season 2 to continue with the characters and what has happened to them.Iam enjoying watching more of the Korean TV series and movies. Keep up the excellent work.Adeline :)

CLOY is an excellent Kdrama that and an insight into the authoritarian North Korea Lifestyle as well as life in South Korea. The portrayals by all the cast were formidable and it is a series that is a must see for all.SPOILER ALERT - . I have noted that people appear to be very disappointed with the finale but if they follow the script, Yoon Se-ri would not have been able to provide proof to the NIS regarding her brothers & sister-in-laws recordings of both phone conversations & e-mails which had been provided by Dan Seo to her in her act of revenge for the killing of Gu Seung by the Chinese.

This is probably my favorite Korean Drama Series. It has everything. Great Acting, great story, wonderful characters, intense drama, comedy, suspense, great background music, etc. If you don't at least tear up in the last 2 episodes, I would be surprised. Even my son, who loves action adventure films thought this was really good. They tell the stories of not just the main characters, but many of the minor characters too, which give such a rich background of the people and their lives. I will watch this one over and over.

Words can’t describe how much I love this Korean drama! Definitely my no.1 k-drama so far. It’s so heartfelt and the chemistry is perfect. I will be watching this series whenever and how many times I want now that I own it. Again, it’s pricey and I expected higher and better quality, HD, crystal clear picture but that’s not the case. It’s good quality though but I would’ve preferred greater one. Other than that, can’t wait to re-watch CRASH LANDING ON YOU back to back! Oh, and the audio CDs are great as well, fabulous bonus.

I gave this DVD set to my mom who loves watching Korean drama series. When she played one of the disc, it didn’t have the English subtitles. Then she figured out after reading the fine print. One disc is only Korean -without subtitle, and the other one has Chinese and English subtitle options. I was relieved. Hahaha. This is an expensive DVD set to buy on Amazon! And its price now is even higher in 2022. I purchased the DVD set in December 2021, and the price was $15 cheaper then. On another note, this DVD series is worth buying for Korean drama fanatics. I loved watching ‘CLOY’ series. I’ve watched it in streaming video and may watch it for the second time. One of the top series to watch! 😊
