Fuel Gas Tank Rear Handle for STIHL MS240 MS260 024 026 Chainsaw 1121 350 0829

I installed this on my 026 Stihl. My original tank started leaking. This requires a major disassembly to change but it all fit well. It would be better if it came with the boot that connects the carb to the cylinder. This is a challenge to change and I ended up getting a new one. One complaint is that my cap would not screw on. I ended up filing the leading side of the 3 lugs that lock it into the tank. Some instructions would also be nice! Clamp the boot onto the cylinder and line up the impulse tube before you position the handle all the way in. Overall, reasonable for the money. Go price a new saw first and you will feel better about tackling this!

Not the best quality. Had to modify the gas cap to make it fit. Also the had to modify the carburetor mounting threads.Working fine with the modifications.

After all the work of switching this handle out, the fuel cap that comes with it doesn’t even fit correctly. Leaks fuel ! Save your money. Buy a Stijl brand handle ! Junk !!

THIS IS THE 2nd FUEL TANK/REAR HANDLE I HAVE RETURNED. THE PICTURES SHOW THE THROTTLE ROD INCLUDED IT DOES NOT HAVE THE THROTTLE ROD!!! ALSO YOU CAN NOT GET THE FUEL CAP TO CLOSE. TOTALLY UNUSABLE NOT MADE RIGHT!!!

For the price you cant beat it. This is the second one i have purchased and installed, and the only thing i can say is on the first one the tank vent leaked, but i replaced it and it was good to go.

Cap came with it and still didnt fit had to use another one. trigger didnt work either! Had to use old trigger in new handle to make work. Wont buy again
