Wink

Shawn Fennell has written a wonderful and thoughtful story to help raise awareness for not only those kids with physical and mental challenges but also for the parents of these courageous children. Wink is going to be a great conduit to let parents know that we do see them and know that they are going through challenging times. Not only was this book a great read, but it also raises awareness. I highly recommend anyone, regardless of whether they have special needs children or not, to read this book. Great work Shawn!!!

I loved this book. It was a wonderful story that had me invested in the characters from the beginning. Inspiring messages for parents and children that leave you reflecting on how you perceive people and the book inspired me to me a better more compassionate person. Highly recommend

Excellent. Easy read. Couldn't put it down.

This was a wonderful book. The story was well written and easy to read while holding my attention at all times. The characters were engaging. Couldn't put it down. After reading this book it inspired me to want to be a better person by giving more of myself to good causes. I will now always give the W;)nk when I see see children / adults that are challenged both physically and mentally. I would highly recommend this book for you and your middle school and above children. It is well worth the time.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Shawn's very well written first novel "Wink". Shawn does an excellent job of taking the reader on a litereary journey that is part mystery and part fantasy while effectively weaving his underlying message of helping and recognizing children with disabilities. His main character Angie is a loveable and believeable character - her infectious determination is palpable with every turn of the page. There is a very unexpected turn of events that, although very sad, leads to a very beautiful conclusion. I highly recommend this book and commend Shawn on such a wonderful first book!
