Very useful and great knife.
This is my go to stripping knife. Until recently when I also purchased a medium knife, also a Hauptner, I used this almost exclusively to from my worehaired dachshunds. Now, with both blades I’m using this one more for the fine work on ears and face. Comfortable in the hand.

Finishing tool for harsh dog coats
I bought it as a finishing tool to strip terrier ears. It works well for detailing.

Defuzzes your furbaby
I've been looking for one of these for years but didn't know what they were called. If your pup hangs on to their undercoat, resulting in a fuzzy coat, this little tool does the trick, painlessly. Just slowly comb through their coat and the fuzz stays in the comb (knife). It takes a while as the comb doesn't hold much fuzz but the effort is worth it. The transformation is unbelievable.

Works relatively well, but handle needs improvement.
I bought this item because it's supposed to be a staple item for groomers, and I thought it would help be card my long-haired Doxie of his fine wispy undercoat. All in all it works well and extracts some hair. In my opinion, its downside is that the instrument is on the flimsy side and doesn't feel like a quality item. I have small hands and the handle is so small, I lose my grip on it frequently while using it.

Really good fine knife
Fits my hand well. Perfect for fine stripping ears and tails or anywhere you need a fine knife in a small area.

Great product
Arrived when promised and works great. This really does the job grooming my 3 dogs. Was recommended to me by a groomer as the best product.

Handy tool but I still prefer my Classics
I use this on my Am. Cocker Spaniel for detail work. It's especially handy for the smaller spaces, around the head and ears since both the blade and handle are smaller than the Classics, Greyhounds and CC knives, etc. That said, with space allowing, I prefer to use my Classic Fine - it just does a better job of grabbing those little hairs - and if I could only have one, would choose the Classic over this one. My Cocker's coat has a tendency to curl and is on the fine side.
