SHCEL01 Universal 3D Projection Pyramid for Android, iOS, All Smartphones

You get what you pay for. Even though it's not as big as I hoped, once it gets dark enough, this little upside down pyramid is amazing at creating a clear and very effective holographic effect. You can see it even when the lights are on, but the darker the better. I found a bunch of holographic videos on Youtube, and after successfully placing it in the center, you can see the holograph from all sides. It does not appear from above as the picture the seller posted shows, but rather at the sides of the square on the bottom. I've seen planets, the sun, butterflies, birds, etc. and this plastic pyramid did it's job and showed it all in holograph form. Very entertaining, and friends and family really love it.

Disclaimer: I am a total nerd for gadgets. Especially techie ones! With that out of the way, this thing is a lot of fun! Yes it is total novelty but for the price it's worth it. The SmartHologram comes as a flat piece of plastic with fold lines cut in it. You simply fold at the predetermined lines and insert the tabs and voila! You have yourself a ready to go 3D pyramid. There are tons of holographic videos on YouTube to choose from. Once you find one that you like simply place the pyramid centered over the image being displayed on either your smart phone or tablet and sit back and enjoy. Great for kids or techies like myself. I have a 10 year old and 6 year old and they both got a big kick out of it. I would suggest turning the brightness of screen all the way up to make the images being displayed as vibrant as possible. Also, since it is made from a flat piece of plastic you can unfold it and bring it with you on trips and outings and not worry about damaging it.

very small and thin / flimsy plastic cut out which when folded into a pyramid and placed over your cell phone, should show a 3 d image of special video images on the screen. It may do that, but hardly useful beyond a novelty item for a child.

Worked how I wanted it to, stupidly easy setup. Personally I'm too lazy to cut up cd cases so I got this it does it much better than the cd cases anyway. But mine broke but that was 100% my fault just wanted to throw that in the review, it is fragile though! It is also still fully functional.

Good idea, poor quality, over priced

Super cool idea. Two major flaws: 1. The hologram is very small, which I don't really mind, but it's just small. 2. I have folded the plastic and it doesn't seem flush with the flat surface of my phone. Just a minor flaw, though. I think it's overpriced at $10. It would be a better deal for 6 or even 5 dollars in my opinion.All and all, I like this product, it's cool, but I overpaid for it.

Oh this is so amazing! I ordered this right after seeing it on Unbox Therapy. Works so well with any android / iOS device. I tried it with iPad mini and it was even better. Make sure you crank up the screen brightness to max for best effect.
