Even if you have a good many cuts on comps, this is worth it for the sound. The deep cut are OK, too, not as barn burning as the better known hits but still good. Oddly, I was trolling for this for some time and it seemed to be OOP and very quickly became available by luck(?). This is the label that should be putting Salsoul, not sound butchers like Harmless.

be warned that some of the songs have been recorded from a record. so watch out and listen for those pops in the grooves.

On this double cd you'll find all three First Choice-albums that were released on the famous Salsoul Label, plus a couple of lovely remixes of the disco-classics 'Doctor Love', 'Let no man put asunder', 'Double cross' and 'Love thang'. The voices of the three ladies - especially leadsinger Rochelle Fleming - are fantastic. The sound is perfect, there's a booklet with all the information you need, plus an interview with Rochelle. Buy this one, you won't regret it! And check out the other Salsoul-reissues (Loleatte Holloway, Inner Life (feat. Jocelyn Brown), Candido, The Salsoul Orchestra). The British label Suss'd! Records has really done a great job.
