Two orders, totally different products?
Ordered this twice and both times I received entirely different products. That's really not a major issue for me, but I think it is worth mentioning depending on what you are hoping for. I'm sure the materials themselves will do the job, so in that regard I don't have any complaints.Some of the ceramic rings were broken or deformed. I bought more than I ended up needing so I just chucked the bad pieces. The first batch I received had small ceramic rings and the second batch was much larger. Again, no issue there but depending on what you are doing I could see that being an issue. Also worth noting is that both orders were very dusty and required rinsing before being used.Bio balls were two different varieties as well. First order was straight plastic, the second order was hollow with little foam blocks inside. I actually prefer the second option in this case. Balls were all similar diameter, but maybe not exact.Functionally (which probably matters the most if we are all honest) these will all do the trick. I won't be in the business of buying again in the future, but that is mostly because I'm not intending to do more aquarium projects at this time AND I bought a bit more than I needed anyway.

They do exactly what they are supposed to do. And an awesome value. I like that both came with bags to zip the media inside

Made in China.
Not a good or bad thing, but I think I would like to know where my product is coming from before purchase. Bad on me for not asking.I'm using these in a home made bio filter. After a very lengthy and vigorous rinsing, they are in my tank. It'll be several weeks before I will see any result.The ceramic bits are as described in size. I prefer smaller media such as this as it'll have a slightly higher surface/mass ratio and I can fit more into the bio reactor.

Pretty much as described... bio balls and ceramic rings... Working fine in my FX5 and I have some in a 2ndary SunSun filter.
