The Adventure of a Lifetime
I first read this book when I was 11 years old. I had to return it to my school library, but the story haunted me.I've searched for it for 52 years! It is still delightful reading. Edward Fenton was a Christian. The Nine Questions is an allegoryof a Christian's walk through life. In that respect, the story is timeless. If the reading is purely for pleasure, then it is best left to young readers. However, I am very pleased to have this 'old friend'back.

An out of print beloved children's classic.
I was delighted to find this treasured classic book from my childhood. It is such a wonderful story; I do not understand why it has never been reprinted. So many creative people sight it as having made a positive impression on them when they were children.

beautiful, evocative architypical fairytale.
I'd been looking for a copy of this book that I could afford. I remember it so vividly from having it read aloud to me as a child. I am saving it to take on vacation next week to read aloud to my family. Can't wait! Please, someone, republish this book!

The Weaver's Bairn
This is another excellent children's fantasy novel from the 50's, marked by exquisite, poetic use of language. The images were very concrete (a silky dog, a piece of cloth) but the atmosphere was bizarre and charged with otherworldliness. I was reminded of this book when I first read the original novella of "Lord Valentine's Castle."In the wake of the Harry Potter books, titles like this should be reprinted!

A Wonderful Tale of a Boy's Journey
I read this book as a child and fell in love with it. A great story well told.
