Bought this for my book worm hubby who loves cricket..It's nothing more than a picture book , I've no idea how it's got such good reviews as it's like a book for babies , nothing intellectual at all , no context. Sending back .

I bought this for my dad for Father's Day. This is a beautifully laid out and edited book, vibrant images and thoughtful words. It even goes into aspects of the game like tea and lunch and the conviviality behind the scenes. Dad described it as a magnificent book and he has a lot of cricket books. I read the book described as a "love letter to the game" in one of the reviews and I couldn't agree more. Mainly from memory it features images of cricket from the 20th/21st centuries. Very happy with this purchase. I agree with all the positive reviews that I read prior to purchase on Amazon.
