Not good
It does not read temperature, stays on 35/95 while other thermometer is showing 98.5 degree F. Previous forehead stick correctly read.

Not even worth returning
This is a joke. Try using this strip on your own forehead. It takes 2 fingers to hold it on and then unless you're in front of a mirror you can't see what it's registering. If it's used at all, it would be on a child, and it's own directions that come in the package with it say it's only an approximation to indicate whether temp is going either up or down. Worthless to me, as an adult.

Works great!
This is perfect if like me your child acts like taking his temperature with an underarm thermometer is killing him. It gives an approximate temp, but it’s great for a quick check to see if you need to pull out the more accurate thermometer. It’s also great for the first aid kit.

A Waste of Money
I had a fever scan for 25+ years and somehow misplaced it. I bought this as a replacement. It works poorly at best. Definitely not recommended, and I hope I find my other one.

Basic, no battery thermometer.
Gone are the day of the mercy thermometer. Now they all seem to run on batteries. I was tired of reaching for a thermometer only to find the battery dead. There are cute little bug adhesive thermometers, but the adhesiveness goes away. This one isn't cute, but it works, and it lasts.

It's ok
I bought this scanner to give me a quick ballpark temperature. Compared to a previous scanner I had, this one takes too long for the color boxes to change and register temperatures.

save your money
I give up why others have rated this item so highly. In the directions that are included it clearly states "A Liquid Crystal Forehead Thermometer is not as accurate for determining the actually core body temperature as a clinical (oral/rectal) thermometer." In my opinion this device is slightly more accurate than placing your wrist on the forehead and saying "it seems you may have a fever"!
