The colors matched and the clear coat gives that depth you need. I was surprised by the vertical line spray pattern on the black can. It made even coats a breeze. Had to redo a fender on a Harley. Was hesitant paying so much for spray cans but glad I took the plunge. Like all paint it needs a couple of days at least and the paint will still be easy to scratch. I recommend at least a week and use super care so you don’t scratch the paint. Hey, experience talking here…. Going to buy another set to get more coats and have plenty of paint to sand and buff.

Well I din't want to wait sooo, I wqent shopping.... bought Duplicolor Auto Primer /Sandable. Tried it all out on an old helmet. Full speed ahead! Damn the Torpedoes!! Looked GREAT to me. I proceeded to do a new bare metal fender and a new Fairing with just a Gelcote finish.Followed their instructions on co. site. NO SANDING BETWEEN ANY COTES! ..did beforehand 180 grit. .also.uised degreaser .. tack cloth between all cotes . All a suggested in the aerosol paint video. also on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21fBWTsdJC4 ).Then proceeded to lay down some spray baby! 2 cotes primer, 2 wet cotes color and 2 clear cotes. The color was dead on!!! ... great quality paint and clear cote,. Looks as good as if it came off the showroom floor! I didn't really expect it to be sooo good.ALSO--> I am somewhat of a novice at spray and pray lol.NOW I want to paint the whole bike :;). That's how good it looks. And I still haven't done the wet sanding and buffing that can be done after 5 days drying (from Colorrite site again http://www.colorrite.com/bulletins/Primer-Clear-Instructions.pdf ).Are they sayinmg it can even look BETTER!!?? WOW!So if you want to match your Harley paint you have found the vendor to deal with.

No matter what I did I couldn't get this paint to lay flat. Not on fresh primer or sanded primer. Sent emails to colorrite and they just told me the surface was prepared wrong, and they haven't had any problems with thier vivid black paint. How can fresh primer (thier primer) be improper prep work. Had to have the primer replaced because it was spitting out flakes. The replacement did the same thing. For the money I expected a lot more, as well as a company that would stand behind thier product. All I can say from my experience is stay away from colorrite paints. Wish I could give it no stars. I'm not a professional painter, but I can successfully paint parts with aerosol cans, at least with a good brand of paint. When I told them that I just wanted to return the paint and get a refund they told me it had already been used they can give a refund. Why? Were they going to sell this defective paint to someone else? So the instructions tell you to apply a wet coat. I could only apply very light coats of the black without it bubbling. Even then the surface didn't look great. I did try the clear, it seemed ok. I could lay down a nice wet coat with it, but by then it was too late. If it was me and not the black paint, why could I get great coats out of the clear but not the black? The black was the only paint I had a problem with (after dealing with the primer).

Well, when I sprayed the color coat, it went on nice and smooth and the spray pattern on the can worked very well. When spraying the clear coat things changed however! The nozzle on the clear coat can was a standard spray nozzle that you see on cheap spray cans that spray a round type pattern. what happened was, the clear coat started spitting paint out which caused many fish eye type patterns on the surface. Now I am going to have to sand/buff out the imperfections. Could have been great but it wasn't! Oh, I also wrote an email to color Rite a couple days ago...no answer as of yet...***UPDATE***I contacted the seller, explained the problem...he's sending me a new paint kit to try again at no charge! Can't beat that at all! ColorRite STILL HASN'T RESPONDED TO ME but this seller did! Great business ethics!!

Black paint worked well. Decide not to use clear. Used another clear product.

color match so what more could one ask?
