Impressive beast!!!
This knife is a beauty. Fit and finish are adequate. The knife came "shaving sharp" out of the box with a nice coat of oil on it. The sheath seems to be made of quality leather, and comes with a small sharpening stone. All in all, for the money spent, it's well worth it....will be buying more of their knives in the future.

Excellent Craftsmanship, Blade is 3/16 inch not 1/4 but still a very thick knife
I really love the look and the feel of this knife. Overall it is very well made. And came razor sharp. The steel appears high quality, and even though it's not a 1/4 inch (6mm) it's still is a pretty thick knife from the full tang through the handle the steel is 3/16 inch (4.5 mm) that tapers around the edges of the blade. I'd call it a slim line tracker because some of the spine is ground almost to an edge. The handle is a great looking wood pattern, the knife is solid and you can feel it is a hefty knife. And not cheaply made. And the sheath is just beautiful, polished full grain leather in a brownish cordovan color, which came with a compact sharpening stone. Though the sheath needs thorough leather conditioning to prevent it from drying out. Or being cut up by the blade.I haven't chopped or cut anything with it yet, though I will soon enough. That said, although this 211 D2 steel 11 inch Tracker knife was advertised as 11 inch overall length, 6 inch blade and 5 inch handle with a thickness of 1/4 inch. The dimensions do add up to all the advertised dimensions, Except it does NOT have a 1/4 inch blade. The thickest parts of this knife are the tang (at exactly 3/16 inch thickness). There is a about a 5/16 chamfer on the spine running 3 inches down from the tip, that could easily be sharpened for 3 inches of additional cutting surface on the spine. It is a great buy at $60I'm definitely going to keep the knife even though it was wanting it to be 1/4 inch, but 3/16 inches is an acceptable thickness for bushcrafting knives, and the D2 tool steel should hold up fine to the rigors of outdoor survival crafts.I did notice they changed the description of this item on the Amazon product page.It No longer says this knife has a 1/4 inch thick blade, in fact there is No thickness dimensions offered any longer. That I noticed after my first inquiry where I sent them the screen shot of the product description dimensions listing 11" L x 6 " blade x 5" handle and 1/4" thickness, that the thickness measurement was removed. Maybe it was a mistake.GCS- I still want to hear back from you to find out if this 211 D2 Knife is offered in a 1/4 inch thick handle at least. That way the blade will be a little thicker based on your Tapered Blade design, which I see how this design can increase versatility.Overall thank you GCS, great knife, excellent sheath! Great work on this knife!**After a little over 4 days and Customer Service Did get back to me and has been attentive to the concerns I noticed, and have been very fair in creating a resolution.I'm very pleased with their craftsmanship and their professional courtesy so far.And they informed me that 4.5 millimeters is the thickest knife they make, which is just a little over 3/16 inches thick, and this thickness is suitable for long-term durability, survival usage and hardcore crafting, provided using suitable metals, and from the he description of what this knife is made of, I believe it will. It's good knowing their customer service people will get back to you, just it case there is a problem.

Do not buy
This knife blade bent and chipped the moment I went to cut a small piece of wood with it. No temper on the steel. Looks great but unless you are putting it on a mantle to look at, don’t get it for a functional knife of any kind.

Nice knife
It's a nice knife with a decent leather sheath, plus it comes with a sharpening stone tucked into the sheath pocket. The knife is beautiful and arrived decently sharp. It has been sitting on our table, repeatedly being used as a letter and box opener. Once sharpened, it could easily tackle much tougher jobs! It really is a very nice looking full tang knife.

a look alike knife with a GREAT hand made sheath.
The knife shows up very very sharp and feels good in the hand, the flat side works well with a fire rod. nice sharp edge for striking holds an edge very well and sharpens very easily all in all a good outdoor knife with an outstanding sheath.
