Nice pure white lights that dim well and look good in my track lights with frosted glass shades. The one thing that is somewhat disappointing to me is that they have a fairly narrow beam angle in spite of the "light all around" advertising. They *are* backlit and do illuminate the glass shades behind the reflector, but these are definitely spotlights and not floodlights.

I love the bright, warm light...but not overly-orange. If you are replacing some bulbs but not others, the old-school halogen lights will look orange by comparison. They are dimmable with a normal dimmer, I have had no problems.

Bought a different brand (DEWENWILS) and had to return them because they flickered. Note that the product description quoted 'No heat or flicker ' and while it didn't flicker all the time, it for sure did at some points on the dimmer scale. When they flickered I could adjust the dimmer just a little more/less and it would stop but still was not good. I use Lutron Diva dimmers and after checking their web site they test some bulbs to pair with their switches so I got the ones they recommended (Feit) and they work great with no flicker. I did the same small movement up and down the dimmer scale from low to high and whereas i could always get the DEWENWILS to flicker at some point, the Feit did not.

When you dim, the light will look very cool, so it does not give you the expected warmth of a real halogen.

I had to search high and low for a bulb like this at hardware stores so I just ended up going on Amazon to get them and I’m glad I did. This model has a special like color accuracy thing which sounds like packaging non-sense but in practice it actually makes a difference. I first started using them in my bathroom and the way it makes your skin and teeth look in the mirror is really flattering -much more than a standard warm bulb. As usual they’re LED and last a long time and I have been using them for months with no issues. Can’t recommend them enough.

There seem to be two kinds of people. Those - like me - who like a yellow warm light. These lights typically are a bit more dim, because the human eye/brain observes yellow as less bright. LED's in that yellow color are still very, very, hard to come by. Based on the reviews I hoped this would be the one.Then there are those that insist on super bright, and hence give bad reviews to these yellow lights. In reverse they seem to not care if a light has a hospital style ambiance. Hence they often like the bright white LED's.This one is not as cold white as a hospital light, but I doubt it is the 3000K as advertised. It is definitly much more white than the hallogen I tried to replace. It does pump out a bit more light, or at least is observed that way - again because it is less yellow and that is what the human eye/brain hence thinks is brighter.So for me these went to my basement, and the hallogen back in the living room as I really want yellow 2700-3000K lights. These are not that. I need to keep looking ...Last, also unlike some other reviewer stated do not really put out light out the back. They have a small ring on the base, but not like the ones with clear reflector or like the old Hamptom Bay series. So if you have a glass design fixture - like I have - they also don't work because of that.And if you do not mind a bit white light, then there are cheaper LED's.So overall 3 stars as it I think it fits neither of the two groups.
