Pure cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies, but low dose - 300mg per capsule
This is certified organic, pure cordyceps militaris fruiting body powder. There is no mycelium, grain, or starch here - only mushrooms. When it comes to cordyceps, you really only have 2 choices: Cordyceps sinensis (CS-4 fermented mycelium) and C.militaris. CS-4 has adenosine in it. C.Militaris has cordycepin in it. Wild grown cordyceps (on insects) has both cordycepin and adenosine in it. So if you really want to mimic the wild grown cordyceps, your best bet is to combine both CS-4 (standardized to adenosine) and a 100% fruiting body powder of C.militaris.The particular cordyceps militaris used in this product is excellent. It uses hot water extracted cordyceps (1:1 extract ratio) and is certified organic. But there is only 300mg per capsule. Optimal dosage of cordyceps is typically closer to 3 grams per day - so 300mg is a pretty low dose. Don't expect to "feel" much from a 3 capsule serving of this product. It may offer some cardiovascular and lung health benefits - but it's not going to be super powerful at 900mg per day...Thoughts:It's a great cordyceps product, but underdosed. If they were using a 10:1 extract, then 300mg per capsule would be great, but it's just 1:1 extract, so 900mg per serving really isn't enough. For cordyceps, I really prefer powder form because 1) It's WAY more cost effective, and 2) Cordyceps really doesn't taste bad at all. If for whatever reason you have to have capsules, this product uses excellent quality cordyceps, but you would be better off taking 3000mg per day of cordyceps militaris fruiting body powder (or CS-4 powder).

Excellent quality Cordyceps Mushroom. Extract form.
Studies have shown Cordyceps Mushrooms having potential health benefits for the immune system, cardiovascular system, cellular energy processes, athletic performance and general mood and focus (and, some studies indicate a role in longevity/anti-aging). So, this is one the mushrooms that I consume daily, in bulk powder form or capsule supplements. Each capsule contains 300mg of Cordyceps Mushroom Extract, using only 100% Fruiting Body (no mycelium). I am impressed that it’s only fruiting bodies and in extract form (which means it’s concentrated). Unfortunately, they do not provide the extract ration (which defines the concentration). Also appreciate that the capsules contain no fillers. So, it’s just pure Cordyceps Mushroom Extract, with more than 30% Beta D-Glucans. (Beta D-Glucans are the compounds in mushrooms that are key to the health benefits.)The product details notes that the supplement is: Organic, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Certified Kosher. According to the product details page, the organic certification is USDA Organic, which inspires confidence in the purity and integrity of the ingredients. And, it seems that the USDA Organic is displayed on the new package label. Unfortunately, it's absent from the old label, which I received. As such, I cannot factor USDA Organic as being applicable. The Supplement Facts does note that the cordyceps is organic and 100% fruiting bodies. The lack of the USDA certification dings the ratings.I’m glad to have this mushroom supplement in my vitamin, supplement resources. I feel it’s a high quality product, and attains a 4.5 star rating, with a high level recommendation.

Very Good Supplement
The cordyceps in this product is not a naturally grown wild fungi but has to be grown under special conditions in a factory. The wild type can cost over $20,000 /kg making it the most expensive mushroom in the world. Nonetheless, I think this product probably contains a high content of cordycepin, which is basically the active ingredient people seek in this type of fungus mushroom. This fungus was most likely grown on a wood substrate which is fine, but it doesn't yield as much as when grown in liquid. I still think this is a very good cordyceps supplement and am glad I got the opportunity to review it. It's very beneficial to health in many ways and I am assuming you have done your research on the health benefits of cordyceps. I take a blend of medicinal powdered mushrooms and always take extra cordyceps just because it's so good for health.

Ummm...
I wanted these to work but I just didn't notice ANY changes or health benefits at all...None. :(They seem to be a good quality product but they just did absolutely nothing for me. :/I can't be sure if it's just the way my body processes things or not. They may work for others but I can't say they did anything of value for me so I can'trecommend them. :/

Almost expired
I received the product today but it looks old bottles, with the expiration date is 12/2022. It does not meet my expectations. I bought those supplements to gift to friends and I leave the country tomorrow, don’t have a chance to exchange or return or buy another gift for them.
