C4Labs - JRZ-1S case for Raspberry Pi Zero/Zero W & JumboSPOT or Lonestar MMDVM Simplex

I built a hotspot around a RasPi Zero 2 W and it looks and works great. Everything fit together like a glove and was kinda fun to assemble. Nice product to make a professional looking unit.

Great product and support from C4 labs. The first one I ordered was missing a piece and I contacted C4 labs and they sent me out the missing part right away. They have amazing customer service and support. The assembly instructions are easy to follow. The finished product looks great. As far as "warmth" they include heatsinks for the the Raspberry pi and then MMDVM hat. I like the look of this case. Also they are very solid once assembled.

This is a beautiful case which I do appreciate all of the design that went into it. It could be simpler with less parts but gets the job done. No problems with the passive cooling for the Pi Zero 2W yet. Just one thing that I found I wanted to pass along. If you are building a Jumbospot Hotspot with this case, you do not need or want the piece in step 9. It causes the board not to seat into the Pi. Also, the top clear piece witht the hole is offset just slightly to one side, so be careful when you assemble the case. Other than that, it makes a very cool looking case for the hotspot and I am very happy with it. I was also very thankful for the heat radiators included.

This is the 2nd of these C4 cases I have bought. They require some assembly that might be a little cumbersome to some. The instructions are pretty through. When completed, the case fits perfectly and is a great complement to the PiStar. The PiStar screen is visible through the clear case as are the lights that flash different colors to indicate the operation. Great case. A little troublesome to assemble and a little expensive, but I will buy again.

1. Value for the money is right on 2. Fit is perfect 3. Ease of installation - tedious but fun, amazing how this goes together. 4. Sturdiness - It's solid when put together. 5. Functionality - couldn't ask for a better fitting case for a Raspberry Pi zero.

It does what it is suppose to. The instructions are pretty clear on what you have to do to get it put together. But here is where it looses two stars. It had different cuts on one of the pieces that I had to attempt and remove. I mean it was not a big deal in order to get my pi zero to fit in there I had to not add two pieces to it. I was able to get it to work with no problems. Size its small... Value for its money..... I guess it was decent but if you are going to sale something please make sure quality control is where it matters the most.

I love these cases Just perfect for the raspberry hotspot, I purchased two of them. one for mobile and the other is used as home base.

Works as advertised, a little filing to get one of the layers in place, it was just a bit, once done, all good, looks good too!

If you have the MMDVM hotspot with a raspberry pi Zero 2W in the black metal case. It can block the WiFi signal if like me and have it a fair distance from the router. So putting it in a plastic case it will solve it. It did for me. The instructions are good but it doesn't make it clear that depending on your type of MMDVM you may have a couple of layers left over. It is a little on the expensive side in my opinion
