So I love the non-gmo ingredient list in this feed. The issue is the consistency. It is so powdery that the chicks are VERY reluctant to eat it. I have had to resort to either fermenting it, or making a hash out of it mixed with water and egg, or water and veggies, to get the chicks to consider eating it. Otherwise they ignore it, even when hungry. They much prefer eating pellets. At this rate is going to take me a long long time to use up all 40 pounds.On the plus side -- some of my older chicks came from a breeder who must not have fed them right. They were super small for age. This feed, when I could get them to eat it, helped them accelerate growth to come close to catching up to the correct size. The 22% protein is perfect -- I just wish they would grind it less.
