Metpure Inc. Leak Lock water leak detector is an easy and economical way to prevent leaks from a filtration or RO systems installed in your house. Unlike expensive, unreliable battery powered leak detectors that malfunction or become inoperable when battery dies, this product uses a super cellulo sponge that, when water leaks, absorbs the liquid and expands, then mechanically shuts off the water supply to the filtration system. It requires no battery or electrical components to operate. This product is discontinued and should not be sold.

The product description for the Metpure ALD14 Leak-Lock Auto Shut-off Water Leak Detector claims "includes 2 super cellulo sponges (1 pre-installed), mounting screws, double-sided tapes, and manual" yet it came with only one "sponge" installed - however, it showed up with no screws, no double-sided tape, and most disappointing no extra "sponge". I installed it anyway, and so far (one week) no leaks or issues.

It leaked from the top hose connection. Only reason it gets 2 stars is that the leak protection successfully activated when the device itself started leaking.
