Do you bullet journal? Not with this product, you don’t.
If you’re like me, you’re just trying to find the perfect bullet journal, and you thought “why not splurge a bit and get a prestigious brand like a moleskin?” Well friends, I’m here to tell you that this notebook is, undoubtedly, the worst notebook you could choose for a bullet journal. Yes, it’s beautiful. Yes, it’s large. Yes, it’s photogenic as heck. But these pages are tissue paper thin. I tested out my regular ball point and gel pens and they bled right through. My pastel highlighters? Ghosting worse than my ex boyfriend. Ten minutes into owning this notebook and I was straight up not having a good time and knew that I had been led astray. Bullet journalers of the world, heed my warning: DO NOT (seriously, y’all—DON’T) buy this journal.

Paper quality no longer viable
Been using the product line for many years, and felt compelled to warn others. The quality is no longer acceptable from Moleskine. Every page warps significantly at the slightest touch. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the notebook and I have to stretch and pull down pages to allow the pen to write somewhat smoothly across. Bleed through is significant enough that it blurs the side you are looking at and writing. And goodness, the smearing! I use a variety of pens that focus on drying quickly to avoid smudging, and they work great, except with this notebook. I find myself using the most awkward writing style and waiting at least a minute before turning a page because it will smear and stain across my fingers or the opposing page.Definitely no longer the quality product it used to be. I sincerely hope that among the knockoff problems that Amazon is struggling with that this product is also being afflicted by it, because this has been my preferred brand of notebook for 15+ years.

Shocked by the thin, poor-quality paper
I'm accustomed to the Moleskine Master A4-sized hardcover notebooks, which feature substantially-thick paper, thick enough to be used on both sides.I've compared the width of 20 pages of the 7.5 x 10 notebook with 20 pages of the A4, and they are LESS THAN HALF the thickness! The extra page count that this notebook provides is useless, because you can only use one side of the page. The tactile feel of the pages is inferior to the A4--it feels like a mid-grade notebook that you could buy from Walmart for $5. The pages deform and "bubble" slightly when I write on them--absolute trash.I recommend the Moleskine A4 Pro (assuming that they still make them with the same paper), or the Leuchtturm Master A4.For good points, this is a great size for a notebook (to my knowledge, Leuchtturm does not offer this size), and the hard cover is good. If you want a hard cover in this form factor, then this is your only option. Just don't expect to use both sides of the paper.

Solid Cover, beautiful green, unfortunately, Paper is too thin to write on both sides with gel pen
I like the size, and the sturdiness of the cover however the paper is too thin for writing on both sides without seeing through. The ink (uniball Signo micro 207 and ultra micro 207) isn't bleeding through but it is visible through. In the future I will look for something with thicker paper.I love the rich green color of the cover.

Perfection in a journal!
I’m one of those people that’s like “I’m gonna start a journal!” And then buys a new journal writes in it once and forgets about it immediately after.I guess I just needed to find the PERFECTCollege size lines- hard cover- sturdy back so you can write on your knees. You can fold it in half and write on it and it retains its quality.I love it!It has been super helpful in me facilitating my personal growth and focusing in on my business.@exist_brightly

About what I expected
I read the previous reviews, especially the negative ones, and took the chance they might have been a little harsh. And, now, I can report, I think that was the case. Moleskine products are good and if you select the product that suits your app, ication, you shouldn’t be disappointed. My only complaint with the Moleskine products I’m familiar with concerns price. Moleskine is TOO expensive. Period. But if you want a 19th-20th century-era product in the digitally overwhelmed 21st century, then you will need to pay up. But, that’s the opinion of someone who still prefers to write with a fountain pen. Yes, you can write in moleskines with a fountain pen...just use a F or XF nib....

Great book. Decent Price
I use this notebook as a workout and food log but its uses are virtually unlimited. I have used Moleskine books before and keep coming back due to the quality of the paper and durability of the covers. Because I use this during workouts, the book gets tossed around and the paper sweated on, but both stand up well to the hardship. If you're looking for a durable journal to take anywhere this is for you.Additionally, I chose the largest size available to fit a full day on one page. I like the XL version but it is a bit to carry around. For an everyday carry book, maybe look at the Large instead of the XL.Only complaint would be the price. Amazon is known for beating the margin of stores like Target or Walmart, but after purchasing, I found the same book for $2 cheaper at Target.

Not the best but I like them
It's an aesthetic/preference thing. Do you get the brand milk or the retailer milk? Disposable mask or reusable fabric mask? The notes I put in this notebook will be used as long as the notebook holds up. If I were going to write day to day notes or use it as a planner, I wouldn't get this. I get nice notebooks because I will keep them for a long time.I've used leuchturm notebooks but I prefer moleskine even without the page numbers and index. Sure ink from felt tip or permament markers bleed through the pages but I don't use those. I write on the right page and use the left side for smaller notes. You can also put sticky notes on that side. I plan lessons in these books.I will say that Paperage notebooks are very good for the money and I may get paperage notebooks if I ever need more notebooks.

Poor/light weight paper quality
I've given 1 star simply for the look/style of the book. Love the colour, outer cover etc .... BUT ... knocked 4 stars off as I am really disappointed with the paper quality. It is so much 'thinner' than I was expecting, very much a light weight gsm, it reminds me of a budget inkjet paper (80gsm if not lower). It is that thin you could use it as tracing paper.... no light box necessary (see photo). Not at all what I was expecting from such a prestigious brand. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.... it is such a shame as it would have been perfect for my art projects, if only all the pages we the same weight as the very first 'this belongs too' page, it would have been perfect and I would have purchased several more books.

Great construction, reasonable paper, but not quite A4 and fountain-pen inks give mixed results
This notebook feels great and looks good too. The cover on mine is a wonderful forest-green. The paper inside is cream, nice and smooth, and thick enough to feel good quality. The little ribbon is great for keeping track of the page you've reached. The lines on the paper are quite small, so if you have large handwriting this may be an issue for you. I find the size encourages me to write more neatly, though. If you are European, please note that this book is slightly smaller than A4 size, therefore you won't be able to stick printed sheets etc. in to it as easily. The paper accepts ink very well, and a fountain-pen writes beautifully on it. If you write with a fountain-pen, be sure to exercise some caution, though, as the paper accepts the ink a little too readily, in my opinion. If you have a particularly free-flowing pen or wet kind of ink, you may experience some bleeding through to the other side of the page, and even slight feathering. If you only write on one side of the page, this will not bother you - and even if you do write on both sides, the text you've written is still legible - it just won't look as pretty. As a rough guide, with a Parker 45 or Mont Blanc Starwalker, both with a medium nib and fitted with ink converters (the Graf von Faber Castell converter fits the Starwalker perfectly):- Parker Quink exhibits no feathering and minimal bleed-through- Noodler's regular bulletproof black exhibits no feathering or bleed-through whatsoever- Diamine Woodland Green exhibits moderate feathering and bleed-through- Beaufort blue-black displays moderate feathering and significant bleed-throughWith the smoothness and thickness of the paper, all fountain-pen inks feel wonderful to write with in this book. The Diamine and Beaufort in particular lubricate the nib excellently on these pages - it's just a pity that the end result is less than perfect. I'd say that if you only use 1 side of the page, your handwriting will really look beautiful with the combination of this paper and a wetter ink such as the Diamine or Beaufort, but if you want to use both sides, stick with a less-flowing ink, such as Noodler's X-Feather black (which is also bulletproof).

Poor quality paper
I have bought these classic notebooks for years because the quality has always been so good, but I was really shocked by the poor quality of the paper in this one. It is much lighter weight than the paper in the last one I bought. These are expensive notebooks and I would expect the paper to be sturdy and a good weight. It’s hard to show in a photo but the pages in this one are translucent. Not happy! I will buy a Leuchtturm next time. More pages for your money and the right quality paper.

hard cover - I bought in error
It is sold as a hard cover, and the book is lovely and sturdy (I love Moleskine), but depending how you use it, the hard cover can make things a bit difficult in meetings unless oyu have lots of elbow room as you can't easily fold it back for quick note taking. If that's what you want it for, make sure you get the soft cover. I bought the hard cover version by accident and didn't realise the difficulty until I started using it. Its lovely, but I bought the wrong book for the purpose

Not A4?
I bought this as I wanted to have a new book for a specific product and have liked Moleskine books. I don't always notice when the options have multiple size choices and on this occasion took A4 in the product name to mean it is A4. Its not. The product size seems to change dependent on the colour of the book so must be typo. I've decided to keep it and at first use seems a quality product
