Best bang for your buck
This thing is the best value fly combo on the market. It has a beautiful drag sound and looks really nice too. It comes with a box of decent flies, nippers, forceps, line, leader, tippet, and a sturdy case. I did have to spend about an hour untangling the fly line but it was partially my fault.

Almost great
While not an expert by any means, I have primarily fly fished for the past 30 years. I have Sage, Orvis, Loomis, Fenwick and Redington fly rods. To be honest I got this kit after seeing a YouTube review. I wanted it primarily for the reel and the rod/reel bag. I thought 8 could use the fly rod to teach my grandkids on a local pond. When I opened it, two negatives stood out. One the bag for the 4 piece rod has only 3 pouches, so 2 sections are in the same slot. The other disappointment was that the 5/6 weight rod came with 7 weight line. I wanted to see what the rod was like, so I put on a lamson reel that has a 5 weight line on it. The rod cast really well, and I am not a good caster! So I took it to a 7 acre pond on private land and had a blast catching smaller largemouth bass and large bluegills. Had hey not sent the wrong weight line and if the rod bag had the correct number of slots this would be an easy 5 of 5 review. Is it top of the line equipment, no. But it is really a great entry level or backup rod/reel combo. As far as customer service, if they contact me I will update this.

Quality Quality Quality
Took my new rod and reel to my son's father-in-law who happens to be a life-long fly fisherman. He was very impressed with both the rod and reel and how balanced they were. He loaded up the reel for me with the included line and leader and he, my son and I headed to a local pond for a lesson. The Sougayilang performed flawlessly. I caught a sunfish and a large mouth bass and fishing partners both got skunked. After that my son decided to get himself a fly rod but wanted to buy it from the local Bass Pro Shop. After testing a number of rods and reels he began adding up what it would cost to get what came in the deal that I got. Over $200 dollars was a hard pill to swallow compared to my kit so he walked out empty handed as he decided to get one "just like dad's".

Just learning
My son and I are just learning how to do fly fishing, but the build quality and all that is included is spectacular. You can’t get much like this for less than $90.

Really good combo for the price
Update: been a year now and this combo is still going strong! I’ve caught some nice smallmouth on it as well.7/8 wt combo review: The only thing I did was buy better leaders and tippets based on some recommendations from others, otherwise this combo did very good with everything from 12” rainbows to massive coho salmon. The drag worked great, there is defiantly more backing included than you need. I used about half. The line was marked with a sticker for which end goes where. Overall I recommend this set up. I did not use the flies it came with but they’re not terrible. I was not sure I would enjoy fly fishing as I tried it with a combo from bass pro about 15 years ago and had a terrible time with it. Don’t know of it was my age or this combo, But I feel like I could not have asked for a better reintroduction to fly fishing. Looking forward to summer fly fishing for bass and pike.

Rod broke after third use
I was fairly happy with this setup considering the price because I am new to fly fishing and wanted to get a budget setup to test out the sport. The reel is fine, but the flies that come with the combo are very poor quality and fall apart in a couple of casts because there is nothing holding whatever low-quality thread they have used to the hook. Regardless, I got myself some better flies and continued to practice. That was, until the third time I tried to use it. I was feeding my line through the eyelets of the rod and applied very minimal stress when the end piece of the rod snapped in half. I am an experienced fisherman generally and this was not due to careless user error. I was very disappointed because I was not even able to catch a fish before the rod broke. Overall I am very displeased with the quality of both the flies and the rod.

Beginners review
Easy to set up and break down, I didn't use the line that came with it so can't speak on that but the reel feels good. Had to flip it before I could use it but that was easy to do. My first fly rod so feels super long but I'm about to fly a large amount of line in my opinion. Tip has some strength and survived repeated beatings against a fence and building from me. The case is nice and the Flys look ok. Everything else with it feels cheap but i feel its worth the price for the rod and reel.
