Not for carrying tools. Even a large tape measure is a little too much.I found this very useful for planning as I am rebuilding a deck, and trying not to reinvent the wheel too much (but for a few improvements and add-ons). It's great for hauling around pens, markers, pencils, and for a few other small items you may want, like gloves, or ear plugs, or fasteners.

I have a heavy duty version of this apron for my tools. The truth is my wife uses this one for her vacuuming and cleaning tools. I know, who'd believe it right? But she swears by it.

The tie strings are to small. All the pockets are too small. I won't be ordering this product again.

Pockets are great for hand tools but not good for holding screws or staples while working. Narrow and deep on the pockets. Small things are harder to retrieve from the bottom.
