I bought this hose to use in the winter on my farm and so far it's been a real labor saver. I don't have running water to the stock tanks and have to fill them by hose. In the summer this is no problem, but in the winter with freezing temps I've had to haul out a 75 foot garden hose and haul it back into the house after emptying it. Took up lots of space and was heavy, not to mention water all over the place. With this hose, I can get the job done and just shut off the water, wait for it to retract, then bring it back in and hang it on a hanger. No weight, no fuss. I had read lots of reviews before I bought this type of hose and the usual complaint is that it is not heavy duty and the connections pop off, etc.. So I have been sure not to crank on the water full pressure at first, just let it expand under a lower pressure before turning it on all the way. Also, the water flow isn't as fast as a regular hose due to the smaller diameter but I expected that as well, so I just prop it up to fill the tanks and do something else while that's going. The only reason I rated it a 4 rather than a 5 is that I have been using it for only a few weeks so still do not have a good idea about its durability. But man, it's made a difficult winter chore a helluva lot easier.

The nozzle attachment end (the longer black piece) obliterated itself after just 1 month of use. The fabric and/or rubber tubing either wasn't attached all the way (which is an assembly problem) or after so many uses I can expect it to break apart (after ~1 month of use, that's a quality problem). Luckily, I was able to fix it after 20 minutes of finding the inner rubber tubing, and pushing it through 3 feet of blue fabric (because the water pressure blew the blue fabric upward), needless to say I was SOAKED. I had to take the rubber tube, navigate it through the fabric, then navigate both fabric and tube through the screw cap, then attach the little white grabber to the end of the rubber tube and attach it all to the upper nozzle spike, then move the fabric up, and screw all of that tight together with the black screw cap.I may increase my rating if what I did fixed it and I don't have any problems and my experience was just a fluke, but for now it's just 2 stars. Can't say I'd buy the same hose for the front of my house.

One of the two is working fine but the other one leaked at the faucet hook-up and I tried everything to get it stopped. Finally took the end off and replaced it with one of the six(light green that I had purchased from Amazon earlier in which 3 have already burst) and it now has worked for 1 day. Hopefully the two will hold up as well as the three remaining light green hoses.

Absolutely perfect until it burst.Easy to move about the garden, reached where I needed it to go. I could easily store it.I gentle gathered it each time and laid it across a rack out of the sun.I knew it was a gamble, wished they could improve.I did think it had a guarantee but I am having trouble returning it.

This is one the worst hoses I have ever had. I purchased 2 of them after the first one would not reach to wash my car (my fault for not measuring). Once I got the 2nd hose it worked great for about 15 minutes. Now where I live to wash your car you cannot have the hose running so you have to put an end on the hose like a garden sprayer. So the minute I shut the water off and go back put the top on and then slowly turn the water halfway on the plastic around the garden hose busts and then the retractable hose on the inside retracts getting water everywhere. When i go back to shut the water off the other plastic end broke off and this thing was just a mess. Save the money and get a real hose, as much as i love the idea I went to walmarts website and ordered some kind of premium regular garden hose (well two of them) and works much much better for only a little bit more.

Bought this so I don't have to drain my hose in the winter! I've had this hose for over 2 weeks and has worked perfectly, very light weight and easy to take in and out of my house to the barn to water my horses. The only down side is, the water pressure is some what lower then a regular hose. But I don't mind the extra few minutes it takes to water my horses.

These hoses are wonderful to use but unfortunately burst very quickly and aren't good for anything. I hope that soon a sturdier version will be made. Fortunately the businesses selling them are quick to refund the cost. I would rather have a hose that works than the money back.

Loved the idea of not lugging a long heavy hose around and this works great. I don't like the fact that when I release the spray handle it starts to snake back up.
