A great product by Sherline. Beautifully finished and machined.
I am surprised at the quality and finish! The anodizing is beautiful and durable, the dovetail slides are machined snugly without any lateral movement and the lockdown is secure. My only critiques are the brass block needs to be split with an 8-32 screw to snug the threads against the lead screw and I have about .010" backlash due to the small gap between the knob and the upper slide. I'm currently trying to find a small radial bearing to help eliminate as much movement as I can. I'd be happy to get it down to .001-.003" like my other machines. Regardless, I'm very happy and would recommend this product to anybody. Thank you!
