It’s great on my updated windows, I just wish it was slightly thicker to give a little more privacy but overall a great product.

To reduce expenses and to help protect the environment, in early 2021 our household started taking a number of measures to cut our energy consumption. Those measures have proven successful: total 2021 electricity consumption in our single-family, detached home in the US SE was about 8,000 kWh (3,200 of which was for AC), compared to about 11,000 kWh annual average in previous years. We tested the idea by applying the film only on our bathroom windows (actually, on the storm windows) several months ago. We are pleased, so much so that we have just reordered the film to apply it to other windows, placing priority on those windows that a) receive considerable direct sunshine here in the hot SE of the USA or b) can be looked into by neighbors or from the street.We have found that this window film safeguards our privacy nicely when the light outside is brighter than the light inside. If we want privacy when it’s dark out, we just close the curtains. We have also discovered that the film significantly reduces the amount of bright light shining through the windows, giving the rooms a softer, more cool-colored feeling. Some members of our household, keen to maintain as much natural light as possible, have vetoed the idea of having the film applied on the windows of their rooms.Another benefit of the film is that it can protect against the shattering of the glass in the event of, for example, a ball flying into it, a thief trying to break through it and get in, an extreme weather event … or a war – I saw on TV the other day a man applying film to his windows in the Ukraine.When it comes to applying this film, here are some lessons I learned:a) Be patient; take your time; think quality over quantity. There are some jobs around the house that can be done well with a mindset of speed and high energy; this isn’t one of them. To do this job well, a mindset of calm and of quality of work is called for. Approach this task when you have a good chunk of unhurried time available, then put on some music you enjoy and settle calmly into a useful task.b) Trial and (frustrating) error taught me to cut the film BEFORE applying it. I learned to carefully measure the windows, then cut the film with 1/8” to spare on all sides. This made it much easier to apply the film. True, we now have 1/8” of untinted window all the way around, but that’s barely noticeable, and the cut lines are clean. With this method, I don’t risk scratching the glass of the storm windows or cutting into their rubber edging. It’s also far less unwieldy. By cutting in advance, application becomes a very manageable one-person job.c) When preparing to cut the film, completely clear and clean the biggest table you have in your house. Do your cutting there. Works great but install wasn’t as easy as it made it seem. Got it done but those edges weren’t the easiest to cut

It does what it say. Curves are not possible with it.

Installation is not that easy

Bought this for the window in my office in order to hide both myself and my cat from the field of view of birds at my feeder, I feel bad scaring them off when I move about. Works perfectly, the second I got the film up they flew right to the feeder with me not even a foot away behind the window.The film was very easy to put up imo, it’s definitely not a pro job and I have some cat fur stuck between the film and the window but that’s what I get for not having the heart to keep my cat away. The first picture shows the film on the left pane and no film on the right.When putting the film up I fully saturated both the window and the film, also I used windex as I did not have a free spray bottle around to fill with soapy water. I also did not have a squeegee so I used a credit card wrapped in a microfiber towel, I had to push hard in order to squeegee out all the liquid.I do have double pane windows and I don’t believe films like this are recommended for double pane as they can build up excess heat between the panes and potentially damage the window, I decided to take the risk, I will update this if anything happens.

Lots of scratches after getting the air bubbles out. Very hazy looking an not clear. Would not use it again. I'd use regular tint.

Works Great! While living in our RV, on a long term stay with my job, the sun was driving the heat up out of control coming through the windshield. We didn't want to lose the views and light by closing the curtains all day but the temperature was constantly uncomfortably high and the ac was having trouble keeping up. Decided to give this a try since it's easily removed if we have to leave in a hurry. (Hurricane season). Just getting it up on half of the windshield made a difference. Once both sides were up, the temperature dropped easily 20 degrees inside and the ac was actually able to keep up and even shut off on occasion. It wasn't easy to put on, even awkward trying to get it to lay flat without bubbles. Definitely recommend the tools that you can purchase for installation.We now have extra privacy and a comfortable living space without sacrificing light or the views. Definitely worth the hassle of getting it on.

muy poco producto apenas me alcanzo para una pequeña ventana, aunque esta en pies la medida, la verdad es que te pierdes no es la medida estándar de México.
