Bigger version of a winner...a bigger winner?
I have ordered two ordered two of these feeders but the smaller size. This one is the third one and is an extra large one which admittedly was ordered by mistake. However, a birding friend immediately came to mind and it was gifted to her for her birthday (she loved it!). Over the years I have had a variety of hummingbird feeders from cheap plastic ones to large glass ones. As might be expected they have functioned well intermittently, but soon colors faded, perches failed, saucers leaked, hangers broke, and the metal ones rusted. This feeder is quite lovely, substantial, and unobtrusive. The plastic is robust, clear, and a beautiful crimson color. The glass is solid, strong, and a good size so that over filling does not waste food. This feeder is very easy to dismantle and to clean. The glass fits almost ergonomically in the my hand and for those with arthritis that is a big plus. I especially like the white flowers instead of the yellow ones, as I recently learned that the bees are supposedly more attracted to yellow than white. All in all this feeder is practical, well designed, and crafts a beautifully elegant statement in my garden. With our strange weather this summer, I had very few hummingbirds but the ones that did come, came back periodically. So let's hope that when the hummingbirds arrive next year they agree ad grace my friend’s garden as well!Top 3 Likes:-Excellent construction and sturdy materials-Aesthetically pleasing and lovely in the garden-Difficult for pests to invadeTop 3 Dislikes:-Like all feeders, it will most likely eventually fade-Moat needs to be refilled fequently-Only 2!

Great feeder, needs improvements
I have replaced all my plastic feeders with this one. First the good: I like the idea of glass for health and sanitary reasons. I replace my food regularly, but with glass I notice the food stays fresher longer than the various plastic containers I used for years. The feeder also is easier to clean due to the design of the feeder. This feeder has not leaked yet for me when all parts are intact, even on the hottest days. This has kept the flower and bottom parts free from mold or other gunk that accumulates with other feeders that leak through the holes. I also have not had a problem with ants, bees, or wasps getting in these feeders (I do use ant traps that use a sticky paste to keep ants from entering from the top, but this feeder also has a huge ant moat you could use if you keep it filled with water). The bad: I dislike the hard brittle plastic used in the bottom part, particularly the clear section. It cracks very easily, and if that happens, your feeder is toast. I wish this plastic were more durable or that you could buy replacement parts. I have had one feeder fall to the ground several times so far. Two times, they landed on the bottom and the clear plastic broke. The glass never broke nor did the red plastic part with the feeder ports. It appears that one of the glass bottles has poor threading that allowed the red screw-on top to slip off in the heat. The first time it fell I assumed we had not screwed on the top well. The second time it fell my husband tightened it and the feeder still fell. The third time I used some plastic between the top part and glass but that time it broke another great bottom. The red tops seem suspect regardless as the plastic ring that the metal holds hangs onto is discoloring on several feeders. I suspect that will be the next issue I will have. I recommend that a different type of plastic is used that is less brittle. Even better, replace the red screw-on top with a galvanized metal band and ring. That may prevent washing the glass in a dishwasher, but at least the feeder would have less chance of falling. I always wash all my feeders by hand and use a weak bleach solution plus soap. I would not recommend anyone putting the plastic parts in a dishwasher due to the heat and caustic soaps used. For now I have retired the glass bottle that seems to slip and of course the two clear bottoms which cracked or broke. I also have as a precaution started putting plastic cling wrap folded in quarters between the tops and the glass bottles just in case the red plastic heats and expands in the sun. So far, so good.Update: The cling wrap did not work well as I had several additional feeders fall to the ground this summer in the intense heat. My husband suggested that we glue the red tops to the glass using food grade silicone glue (available here on Amazon). That did the trick. Although we can’t remove the red tops anymore, I would rather have intact feeders. They are great feeders and stay clean compared to others with plastic feeder ports or bodies, but I recommend gluing the red tops to the glass upon purchase to prevent breakage like mine.

Great product. Great price.
I love this hummingbird feeder! It is well made, large size and my main reason for choosing this one is the ease of cleaning it! It has a larger opening than lots of other feeders! I always look for simplicity. I have not noticed any leaks and is easy to put together and take apart.

Preciosos bebederos de colibríes!
Me encantan porque son fáciles de lavar, no guardan olor y estoy llena de colibríes.

Hold enough last a week.
We have the smaller one and were filling it every 3 days. Now with this larger one, they last about a week and we can fill one while the other still keeps the birdies happy. Lots of activity between the two of them.

Hahahahaha, I stole my neighbors birds!
So this is huge. Holds over 4 cups. The bottom of it can stick really well if you do it on even medium tight so that is the only tricky thing. The hummingbirds share this feeder, they didn't the old one. Wasps seem to have a harder time getting stuff, although they still try.
