It's so sad that Bob Mauldin passed away without the chance to see how well his story, that he worked for so long on, was received by his readers. This series is one of the best I have ever read and worthy of the highest award. I look forward to reading the final book in the series with both joy and sadness, the joy of anticipation and sadness of his passing. Rest in peace Mr. Mauldin.It

The story progresses in leaps that break the time line, hoping back and forth, introducing new characters, style changes between extra long conversions to simplified action, it’s like the author hasn’t really developed his style just yet.So... nice reading, but I mostly got a sense of relief finishing this book.

So far in this series I have gotten exactly what I was looking for in a book. There is a great cast of characters an intriguing plot and an escape from normal life. This is the third book and it completely met my expectations for a few hours I was able to escape the world outside,

Wow great storyline with interesting characters and now two different alien cultures. Excellent insight into some of humanity's greatest traits as well as honestly identifying our less than honorable tendencies. I am both excited and sad to read the final book in the series.

I like Mauldins writing, he has done a stellar job of story and character development. I personally like near future space opera Mauldin does well blending current events and politics I to a great space tale.

The first book in this series was great, a real page turner. However, beginning in the second book and continuing in this the third book in the series the story line is slowing sinking into boredom, and I find myself skipping pages as I read trying to discern the story line. At the end of the instant book the author ties to stir things up, but does so with the unpardonable tactic of the cliff-hanging ending which really disrespects the reader waiting six or more months for the follow-up.

Good book, I really enjoyed the battle scenes and enjoyed the book in general. It was a little politics and skulduggery,but it drove the story forward.It kind of ended on a cliffhanger but that leaves me wanting to read book 4 even more.

Third book well worth reading, it's got a bit of everything in the Scifi tropes. Read it, you won't be disappointed.

The third book in this series is as well written as the first two..excellent read ...start to finish nothing more to say except I will miss the stories left untold...Rest Bob your books will not be forgotten....Mark C.
