Best Professional Blow Dryer For Your Money !!!
I have been a Licensed Master Cosmetologist for over 43 years and have gone through many blow dryers during that time. 15 years ago I purchased this Blow Dryer. It's Lightweight, Very Powerful to achieve faster styling time and Very Compact. My High Speed Switch finally went out, after 15 years. I Googled this Blow Dryer hoping that they were still in business, it sent me right to Amazon so I purchased a new one. Got it delivered yesterday, Plugged it up and used it in my Salon today and WOW !!!! Life is back to normal. You can spend a lot Less or a lot More, but you Will Not get a Better Blow Dryer than this one !!!!

The cool shot button does blow out cool air
Only saved me about 2 minutes out of my average drying time, I bought it with the purpose of saving time from my morning go to work routine. However, the ionic button really works well. My hair didn't need so much straight ironing, so I saved about 8 minutes out of the typical 12 min of straight ironing time which to me makes up for the drying time. The dryer is a bit heavier than my last Conair blowdryer. The cool shot button does blow out cool air, which is probably the real reason I saved 2 minutes of drying time. It is suggested by most hairdressers to alternate between the hot and cool settings when trying to complete the drying faster. The cord is also very sturdy almost the same kind you would find on a vacume cleaner, but it also seems to be the kind that will not wrap around and create a tangled mess. In my opinion, if this dryer saves me some time somewhere, it was worth the slightly higher price tag, time is money after all. Lastly, I saw from another reviewer that this is the same dryer as the famous Hary Josh dryer that everyone is talking about, except when you buy from Velecta, since it is the true manufacturer, they put their own name on it instead of the designer name which saves you about $60. Hope this helps, enjoy.

Best blow dryer
Solid fast drying blow dryer. I know it cost more but my hair dries much quicker and I use it every day. Worth the investment.

Really Pleased!
I was worried about two things other reviewers mentioned, that this dryer was too heavy and that it might put out too much air for thin hair (mine is very thin). I didn't find either of those things to be the case. It feels solid, but by no means heavy, and is so small and evenly-balanced that I found it easier to use than any of my older, larger models. As for air pressure, it does pack a punch on "high," but on "low," it was just perfect for my fine hair. I will agree with another reviewer who said that the cord seemed too heavy (like you'd find on a vacuum cleaner) but I assume the designers knew what gauge wire was needed to safely support the load. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Powerful. Expensive. Worth it.
I’ve now had this for 6 months so I feel I can leave an accurate review. This is the same as the Harry Josh hair dryer, just not painted and with a brand name slapped on it. In my initial search for a hair dryer, this popped up but the price scared me. Then I went to get my hair cut and my hair dresser was using this exact one and said she loved it. It never dulled in power like most do in 6 months. It almost has too much power and I have to use it on low or my hair getting knotty. But it dries super quick. Also, my favorite part, the “cool” shot isn’t just less hot air, it’s actually COLD air! I love it. One thing to note, it is rather heavy. My air gets tired quick. But I knew that before buying and it didn’t bother me. But definitely note the weight.

World Class Hair Dryer
Great hair dryer! Ohers have already covered the various merits of using this excellent product better than I can, as I bought it for my wife. However, what I can tell you is that Velecta makes products for some of the most exclusive brands in the US and France. I had read rumors that the Velecta TGR 4000i was the same as several other high-end dryers, so I wrote Velecta and asked which model they make most closely emulated the well rated, uber expensive, Harry Josh model. Unlike other companies, Velecta was very responsive and transparent and advised me that, except for the custom housing and branding, this "house brand" model was exactly the same as the Harry Josh and several other French boutique driers they make. So, what it came down to for me was $80 for generic black and silver or $300 for a pretty turquoise blue with a guys name written on it. The color and branding may be worth the price difference to some folks, particularly in a salon, but for home use we just couldn't justify the cost difference.

Stylist Recommended
My hairstylist (I should call her a magician, actually. She's that good) recommended this dryer to me when I told her I'd just spent an arm & a leg on that pretty mint green hairdryer. She said it was the same dryer, but without the "celeb" name/coloring, so it was much cheaper. I've tried both and I have to say, they're the same. The only differences I noticed were the name brand & the color scheme. This is the best hairdryer I've ever used -- I'm so glad my hair magician told me about this so I could return the over-priced version!
