I consider myself pretty knowledgeable with digital photo software. In the image there should be a lighthouse above the rocks which you can plainly see with the slide in front of a lamp, but no matter how I adjusted the app. it never even slightly showed up. I scanned it and used Adobe photo adjustments to try and filter it in but to no avail.The hardware is very well made though. I'm hoping they will have a software update soon to fix this issue.I'm very disappointed!

I tested the scanner on both color slides and film negatives. Easy to install, use, and the quality is good. I am not sure what is the gold standard, but I am happy with this scanner. You may need to adjust slides a couple times and figure out what side is up, but this is really minor. With this scanner, you can digitize your archive in a very reasonable time. As a bonus, I could recover, through proper adjustments, 50-years old negatives that aged to the extent that not much could be seen on them, at a first glance. Good product for the money.

I've had other film scanners that are a lot of work and take so much time. This one is so simple, so quick, and the quality of the images is too good for their age and state. the color can be fixed, although sometimes it is difficult to adjust, and the sliders sometimes do not respond. But after disconnecting the device and connecting again, the problem was solved, and it only happen a couple of times. I wish it included a 110 mm film frame, but for the price, this was a really great acquisition.

Product really is plug-and-play.could have not been simpler. Good app but color balance and contrast are not fine enough for truly high quality copying.As I noted, I had thousand of B&W negatives to look through and the process is fast. You can start a 36 shot strip in one side and feed it quickly and view the images very quickly. Digitizing the image is instantaneous.You can then browse all you chose to keep as thumb-prints.While controls are course, they are easy to use and the "default" setting is often correct.For my need, it works very well.

Extremely bad slide scanner. Requires a lot of time to do one by one and very hard to adjust manually light, contrast and colors. While the automatic adjustment is terrible. Need to return it immediately!

Plugging an unknown data stick into my workstation was not something I do.... ever! However, all of the positive reviews I read allowed me to give it a try. No adverse effects but, the software never seemed to complete, after many attempts. So to date I have not used it because it doesn't work.

This works great. Well worth the price I paid.
