Professional Wrestling's History
The dvd is just a play through No main menu. No scene selection but you can skip through it.For the documentary itself it's good it gives you a history of Professional Wrestling very niceFor any Pro-Wrestling fan to watch and learn about the background history. The only thing I did not care for on this documentary is what the narrator says at timesSuch as the fans did Not care who won or lost I do Not speak for everyone but I say fans Do careWho wins or loses. Or who the Champion is. Pro-Wrestling is fun that way. Also the narrator saying yes Pro-Wrestling is fake is such an ignorant thing to say.real quick movies and tv shows are fake but they are still fun.If anything Pro-Wrestling is like a stunt show the bumps are real the blood is real and wrestlers do go through pain.Like any other athletic competitor. Please excuse my little rant thank you.

Excellent documentary of pre-pro wrestling
One of the best documentaries on any sport, especially the first 1/3 focusing on early wrestling in 19th and 20th centuries. Steve Allen does a good job of narrating and the script is excellent until the last 1/3 which focus on pro wrestling since 1950. Lou These and Vern Gagne interviews are excellent, the rest is just mindless hype.

The Unreal Story of Pro Wrestling (900th review)
I've always enjoyed this program and it can be seen on tv quite often. It traces the history of wrestling from the cavemen till about 1999. There is various clips from both WCW and WWF with wrestlers from each company talk about the past and present. While neither company slam one anther, it's still very well done. If you enjoy wrestling then i'd recommend this dvd. If you want the rough side of wrestling i'd pick up Beyond the Mat.

Very good documentary from A&E on the history of wrestling. Starting from the beginnings a few centuries ago. Into mordern day pro wrestling and all the names and character's in between. I enjoy watching this doc very much. It's fillied with all kinds of fact's about the sport. Good watch for anyone who is a fan for sure.

Trip down memory lane...
I really enjoyed the unreal story of pro wrestling. It was a thorough description about pro wrestling, its roots and important moments. If you enjoy wrestling you are going to enjoy that movie. The only hiccup I can think about is that it spends a little too much of time talking about the birth of wrestling but then again, it is a documentary.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
This is a really outstanding narration of the evolvement and resurrection of the sport that has captured the public's attention in a manner that few long standing sports have!!

Don't waste your money...
This title really is a waste of cash. If you saw iton A&E when it first came out then you will know what I mean.If not, trust your Uncle Jon here- the stories on here aremostly fiction, even the interviews they do. The story onAndre the Giant and Wrestlemania III is laugh out loud forhow little truth there is to it. They focus a little on theearly days (get your truth meter out) and then jump mainlyto the 1990's and the WWF. A man like Ric Flair, who has doneso much for this industry, is glossed over with at most 3minutes of screen time. Bruno Sammartino is skipped entirely,as are countless others that are legendary figures inpro wrestling. Skip this title and go get Beyond the Mat oreven better- Wrestling with Shadows.
