I assembled the fountain on a cloudy day to experiment with the nozzle types, and it started spouting immediately!It has been working even with no sun, daylight alone starting it up. Strong sunlight makes the spray higher. I've been using it with no spray nozzles, and it works as a nice bubbler for the birdbath. There are various nozzles for spray patterns, clear instructions, extra filters for the pump, all nicely packaged. The plastic pipes work well to keep the fountain centered. Simple to use, and definitely worth the price.

This little fountain is great for so many things! I purchased it for my grandson to play in when it is warm outside and he loves it. I was surprised at how high the fountain shoots up when it is in full sun. It is super easy to use and a great value for the price. We have had it several weeks now and it is still going as strong as ever.

On all settings the water jet, especially on sunny days is fantastic. But—-the jet is so vigorous it overshoots the 12” diameter bath I purchased on this site with the jet. Within an hour all the water was out of the fountain onto the soil. 2nd mistake: I cut the plastic sticks too short so it can’t be clamped in place (my fault not the product. I am unsure how to solve the water loss problem—keep it in the shade, buy a bigger waterbath, try reorder the plastic rod, don’t cut, and weight them down with rocks.

Everyone should get one. It's fun to set up. My grandsons and I are making a Fairy Fountain for bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. We've decided to search for a different bowl than the planter I had available. It's very easy to transfer things to other vessels. Comes with a variety of nozzles for fountain patterns. No battery to charge, if it's sunny, it runs.

Pleased with my purchase. Easy to set up. Like that it came with different pieces to choose the best one for my bird bath. Worked right away and continues to work very well. The birds love my bird bath now. It keeps the water moving and doesn't get stagnant.

Specifically for me this is a BAD purchase!! My birdbath (photo 1 in morning) gets afternoon sun, tested this on my deck in the morning (photo 2) and it works fine.Unfortunately there’s no one home in the afternoon to enjoy the birds or refill the water in the bird bath. The plastic bowl was FULL when I began my test- and in FULL sun- the spray can empty bird bath quickly.There’s NO charging the solar panel- it ONLY works when the sun is out- so sorry birds on an overcast day. Literally STOPS working if I stand in the sun beam.NO back up battery for overcast days, I’m 100% returning for a better product!

This is a good fountain for my birdbath. The only downside is it does not have suction cups on the bottom to hold the fountain so it doesn't stay in the middle of my birdbath. It does come with some plastic straps that extend to the edge of the birdbath bowl but it is not attractive and it reduces the area where birds can go in to clean themselves. I ended up removing the straps, let the fountain float to the side and then birds can have plenty of room to take a bath.

Have had mine for several years. Bought as replacement to other brands that quit after becoming cloudy with solar ability diminished. The Made max is good quality and well packaged with clear instructions. This second one I bought as a gift.
