We've All Been There
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Long Island Native Cary Carbonaro at this years Women's Summit in NYC back in May 2018. We were supposed to have a 15 minute 1on 1 question & answer session which turned into a 45minute talk. Cary gave me a few pointers on how to work with my own finances & where the easiest place to invest the savings I do have would be. She gave me great life advice & she was so easy to talk to & has a fabulous sense of humor. I purchased the book at the Summit & read it immediately that weekend. I was so surprised how much this single mom's life was relatable to Cary's early struggles not just in my own first marriage but my relationship with finances too. The content is amazing & there are a lot of great take aways from this book. Thanks to Cary & her book I'm actually researching going to go back to school myself to learn more about finance & plan on achieving CFP status...Buy it..Change your perspective with your money & Just Go for it!! Sincerely, Helen R. - Long Island, NY

it's easy to read
FINALLY, a contemporary and sassy, practical financial guide that is written for today's modern woman!!! Cary's book is a 'diamond in the rough' ladies. First off, it's easy to read. No decoding of financial jargon and gobbledygook within these well-written and concise 144 pages. Secondly, the chapters contain actionable advice for every decade of your life with great titles like, "Your Roaring 20's: The Journey Begins and Your Fabulous 50's: Avoiding Landmines." The information in these sections are useful, especially for that sandwich generation mom who is caring for her parents while supporting her own children and wants to make sure all the women in her life is doing the right things financially. Last and most importantly, is the fact that this book is written by a practicing female CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL TM who currently deals with her own clients on the front lines, understanding all aspects of financial planning, and how good decision making positively impacts a woman's life. The anecdotes are visceral, personal and very real. Overall, the book is empowering and gives all women a leg up on building wealth and banishing fear. Bravo!

Maybe a good beginner’s book
Although this book may be helpful for someone who doesn’t know much about being financially responsible, it did not tell me anything I didn’t already know, and believe me, I am in no way an expert of finances which is why I like to read and educate myself. I was hoping to learn something new and maybe have a couple of ‘a-ha’ moments, but unfortunately I had none. I’ve read a lot of books from Suze Orman that I felt provided more information than what I read here. I wouldn’t really recommend buying this book since there are so many others that are more informative than this was. It is probably a good beginner’s book though.

I like to read new books on financial planning
First off, I am not a woman, but I am a financial planner. I like to read new books on financial planning, not necessarily on investments but on planning and starting out and how to turn around a slow moving disaster. Cary's book is one of those, while it focuses on women, she says the same things that I tell clients every day, build a budget and stick too it, pay yourself first, don't be so afraid of short term losses you keep all your money in cash. I also like how she broke down life into decades give milestones for each of them. I give a seminar pretty often that has the same kind of structure. I think that way, the younger folks don't give up because they think the book is focused solely on those about to retire and those about to retire know that the section specific to them is farther along in the book but that their kids or grandchildren even may benefit from the earlier chapters, The book is excellent for women and men. Most young people would do very well to read this and keep it handy.

It is a book that can really help young woman ...
It is a book that can really help young woman. I'm in my early 50's and it just reiterated that fact of how many mistakes I made managing my money! I wish I would have found her when I was young... So I passed the book on to my daughter.

A Guide for a Lifetime...
In this book, Cary Carbonaro takes us on the journey of a lifetime of financial decisions, from the “roaring 20s” to the “smooth 60s.” It is a compelling and motivational guide for women who want to experience a lifetime of financial security and wealth building. It explains in a simple and easy to understand narrative the financial principals to follow throughout the different phases of life, from the college years, through marriage, divorce, and finally retirement. Designed especially for the modern woman, “The Money Queen’s Guide” is motivational and inspiring, but best of all, it’s easy to understand. Cary Carbonaro’s advice is friendly, genuine, and also very personal. This book has already helped me by inspiring me to place my financial priorities in order. The reduction in the anxiety level over money is well worth it! Not just a great read, but also a very practical guide for women of all ages!

Book is a joke
I bought this book just for giggles and it didn’t disappoint. Not useful a book at all unless you are gonna use it to prop up a table. I guess anybody can write a book these days. I could've written a better book. Here’s a free money tip. Take the money you would have wasted on this book and save it. Instead just do research on the internet. There is a wealth of actual useful information out there about investing and managing money and it’s free.
