Natural Beauty Basics: Create Your Own Cosmetics and Body Care Products

As someone who at one time used scents to help celebrate the joy of life, then was attacked by extreme environmental sensitivities, this book has been an eye-opener. I am in the process of making my own products for my pleasure and value the support this book has provided. In addition to containing none of the items that set off my respiratory problems, the products I make are unique, contain no unnatural preservatives and are less expensive than anything I have found on the commercial market.

There are many wonderful facts and recipients in this book and I'm enjoying it , there are no recipients for making actual cosmetics however .

This book is ok for beginners, I already had most of the knowledge published from research I have done on my own.

This book by Dorie Byers goes a little further with instructions and recipes. As always her books are well written and easy to follow. The condition of the book was excellent when received.

I am a licensed esthetician and would recommend this book as one of the best! Easy to read and understand plus recipes are wonderful!

I bought this book because I wanted a decent recipe for homemade shampoo. Quite disappointed with that one though, since the lady just uses a good baby shampoo for a base.There are numerous other useful recipes in this book.From deodorant to facial care , hand cream to foot-care.Some of the ingredients are not easily available.

This book has some pretty good info, but it is very general. It would be a great book for the beginner.
