Not only does this product taste and smell great, it truly works wonders! I have chronic dry mouth from medications, so I've just become accustomed to my mouth always feeling dry, or peeling (gross I know, but it's worse for me to have than for you to read). I recently had a bad reaction to Crest pro health toothpaste (apparently there is laundry detergent in it, according to a few dentists I've spoken to) and I have seen this toothpaste a few times on Amazon, but never bought it. With my mouth hurting so bad, I decided this looked the best out of all other natural toothpastes I looked at. The first time trying it I loved the taste, it doesnt foam up, but it definitely gets you to salivate. The texture is interesting but once brushed in, it feels so cleansing. It had a mild mint and chocolate flavor that last. Since using this for a week, not only has my mouth healed from my reaction, it has never felt better! My tongue is pink, not whitish from being too dry, my inner cheeks feel smooth. It feels like I've been moisturizing my mouth. This is probably what normal mouths are supposed to feel like, but it is so new and amazing to me! My teeth feel amazing along with my whole mouth, I will never use another toothpaste again!

My family has been using The Dirt toothpaste for years and we love it! Super Mint is our favorite flavor, and helps the most (IMHO) w/freshness. I like these little tubes for ease of travel (although not as cost-effective), although we love the larger tubes for at home use and best value for money. The toothpaste, when used properly, really does last a long time. What I love most are the actually healthy, clean ingredients! :)Also, fun tidbit, my eldest was getting to the age of noticing we're using different products than most of her friends. One of her friends came over for a sleep-over, forgot her toothpaste, used ours, and her friend loved our toothpaste more than her own "normal" toothpaste. My daughter didn't gripe so much about not using what everyone else was using for toothpaste aft that. :)

The reality is that this toothpaste is truly different from popular brands, and although that is exactly why I bought it, I was still surprised by the texture that took some getting used to. However, the level of clean that this achieves is amazing. Between The Dirt and a good flossing, I get the just-left-the-dentist clean every day at home, and The Dirt, contrary to its name, does it with healthy, clean, allergy-friendly ingredients. I love it and will never go back to "normal" toothpaste! However, the texture and cost are why I give it 4 instead of 5 stars.Some tips that I have learned in the past couple years of using The Dirt:1) When they tell you to massage the tube before opening, do it! Sometimes the coconut oil separates, and there's nothing more annoying that getting a big puddle of coconut oil on one day and a hard, dry pebble the next.2) My mouth is naturally on the dry side, so after applying the toothpaste to my brush, I wet it. This helps significantly.3) You really do only need a little! Using too much also makes it feel more dry.

This is my 2nd flavor to try of this brand and I prefer the CinnaMint to the SuperMint. It cleans my teeth so well and without a harsh flavor. I agree with other reviewers that the no foam is sorta weird at first, but it’s easy to get used to. I highly recommend this!

I have very sensitive gums and this tooth paste saved my mouth!! It is so gentle and healing. I love the flavor and fresh minty-ness! At first I was shocked at the price. However, you really only need a pea-sized amount, so a large tube lasts about 6 months. It does leave brown chunks in your toothbrush, which took some getting used to. Now, I am hooked and will never go back to regular toothpaste. I also use their tooth powder and really like it as well. I alternate between the two. The powder gives my teeth a really good cleaning (about once a week or less) and the paste keeps my gums happy and my teeth clean between powder uses.

I tried a clay-based deodorant and I love it. It works so well. I was recently reading about fluoride and its dangers and wanted to try a toothpaste without it. I have tried some from the health food store but never really found one I liked. I was drawn to this particular toothpaste because of its limited ingredients all of which have beneficial effects and because of the Clay. It's taste was surprising and at first I wasn't quite sure about it but after using it several times I really like how my mouth feels after brushing and also when I wake up in the morning my mouth has a more clean feeling than with traditional toothpaste. My teeth feel super clean and each ingredient in this toothpaste offers benefits not just my mouth health but I believe even my overall health.

I got this for my six-year-old daughter, hoping the chocolate flavor would sell her on this toothpaste. She wasn't impressed and went back to using her mainstream flouride-y children's toothpaste. But she's six and doesn't know what's good for her. I'll have to find a different alternative that she likes better. So I have been using this, alternating with The Dirt tooth powder. It has a mild chocolate mint flavor and seems to work fine as far as cleaning my teeth. I feel like I could probably just use baking soda or coconut oil and be just as happy, without spending all the money on this product. But it was worth a try. I appreciate that this company is making alternative teeth-cleaning options that are safe and effective. And the packaging is cute.
