These strip are great, they test for a number of things, all of which are useful to know. The reason I bought these was to test for hard water level primarily. I live in a very hard water area (south east of England), and I have a water softener in the house for around 8 years, I wanted to ensure the water softener is set correctly. I tested the unsoftened water and also softened water, to see the difference. There is a small difference, which I will continue to test for a few weeks to ensure accuracy after the water softener has regenerated

As good as any others i have used to test the water in my hot tub. I did a side by side comparison to a premium brand i had and the reading was exactly the same but these are significantly better value. The scale on the side of the pot is a a good colour match to the reading on the strip.

I did a best out of three test and I think these strips are pretty accurate. I recommend dipping them at least 18” with a little shake to remove bubbles and immediately placing them on a flat surface so the test pads don’t leak onto each other. The free chlorine test evaporates pretty quickly but the results after 60 seconds were almost identical. I recommend these for a quick check in between chems and cleaning

I used two of these today for our small pool and both strips were identical.. I'm a first time pool owner, so everything requires a learning curve. These strips are pretty simple and straight forward to use. You dunk it in the pool entirely, pull it out and wait 15 to 30 seconds to see if what color each little pad on the strip it. I haven’t written a review on Amazon in forever, because I’ve gotten pretty good at sticking to 4 1/2 star products that generally get the job done.This is not such a product. Laughably meaningless test results with colors that drip from one square to another.I’ve returned the product, and felt compelled to write this review so you don’t have to endure this.

Not for pool testing so don’t waste your $$$

It is very suitable for keeping the chemical balance in the hot bath. When taking care of the hot tub, my wife calls me a crazy scientist, but I want to make sure it's safe and healthy to use. These rods show the chlorine content, pH and alkalinity of one stick. They are easy to read relative to the scale on the side of the bathtub. If you have a hot tub, these are absolutely recommended.

The test square dies run together....if you shake off excess water or not, turn it sideways to allow water to run off, blot it....it doesn't matter. Also, the test guide on back of the bottle isn't obvious/hard to see what is acceptable tests, too high and too low. I am disappointed.

I cannot seem to get an accurate reading with the strips. As a test I dipped three sticks into the pool at the same time and all of them had completely different pH and acid readings. I then took a sample to the pool store and got my accurate reading which was nothing like any of the three samples I did with the sticks
