I have been ordering these ever since my last hip surgery which left me with a lower left leg and the surgeon recommended this product at my 6 week checkup. I started at 1/4 inch and now am using the half inch as the 1/4 inch pads flatten after wearing for 2-3 months. I needed something that could help me with all my shoes and not just one pair made to be permanent in one pair of shoes.
