Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Case, GMYLE(R) Folio Case 360 for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 - Purple PU Leather 360 Degree Rotating Swivel Folio Case Cover (with Adjustable Multi Angle Stand)

I originally gave this case 4 stars but have since had to lower it after having the case for a year. While it has worked okay for the most part, I have some extremely upsetting problems with this case. First and foremost, the swivel device has left a HUGE scar from rotating on the back of my precious $400 tablet. I'm infuriated with this horrendous oversight. I'm posting a photo to show you how bad it is. I left my tablet in this case for about 8 months without taking it back out once and only then noticed how bad the damage was. It has ruined the back of my tablet and significantly depreciated it's value. I'm enraged, and considering demanding some kind of repayment. If you never rotate the tablet, you might be fine, but then why are you even buying this type of case? If the main function of the case winds up damaging the product it is meant to protect, it is a failure as a product and does not deserve to be available. For those of you who might think "you get what you pay for," sure I didn't pay a lot for it, but a case is meant to protect, not damage and surely this is unacceptable from any standpoint.Another con is that this product is not sturdy at all. It can stand up to light touching when propped upright in landscape mode on each of the 3 slots, but with any amount of heavier pressure, the stand collapses and the tablet falls. This makes it acceptable for simply viewing the screen, but highly impractical for any type of drawing or writing with the S Pen, which is one of the reasons many people, including me, bought this tablet in the first place. Were the grooves deeper, this might not be a problem, but unfortunately it is.After 1 year of moderate use, the coating on the corners of the tablet cradle itself are starting to peel away, making it very uncomfortable to hold. While this is definitely not desirable, it's not wholly unexpected after months of use and from a low cost, low quality product. Unfortunately, this will lead me to never buy this type of plastic-coated case again and makes me wish I had simply invested more in a better case from the beginning.Overall I simply cannot recommend this product at all. It fails to protect my tablet by damaging it instead, is falling apart after only one year of use, and is unstable and dangerous when propped up for viewing, as well as useless for writing. This product is terrible.

I was looking for a case that would hold my new Samsung Note 10.1 so that I wouldn't have to hold it the whole time I was playing with (oops! I mean using) it. This case fit perfectly. The 10.1 Note snapped right into the case's framework and definitely gives me a better feeling of security when packing it around. I am almost always sitting down while using my Note 10.1, and this case holds it nicely on my lap. There are times when the part that's sitting in the slot (see how it is positioned in the picture) can slip out of that slot and it just lays down flat. I think the slot could be a bit deeper, or the frame have a better bite holding it in place more securely within the slot. All in all, it does a nice job for what I was wanting. This case feels securely and well-made. It has an elastic strap that holds it closed for packing and travel. There is a cut out for everything, including the S-pen, the charging plug, and the wake up and volume buttons. However, you cannot use the Note during charging, as the charger plugs into the bottom of the Note. Of course there's a way around that, as I'm doing right now while writing this review. I simply plug in the charger, spin the Note 180º so the charger is going out the "top" and there you go.It's a good case for the money.I've had it about a month and a half. I chose it because it was what I was looking for while continuing to look for a bluetooth keyboard case. I chose the purple case. After I received it, my boyfriend liked it so well he ordered one, too, in green. He likes it as well as I like mine. It arrived really quickly.I would not recommend this case if you plan to do very much with your Note in the portrait position. It does not work very well at all in that orientation. The Note is too tall for the way the slots are positioned.

I bought this for my wife, to replace an identical one which she's had for the last couple of years. It is nice and does the job well. We've not had a similar item by which to compare it, but I do think that if it were of better quality it would have held up better over time than what it has. The leather like material which surrounds the tablet's side edges had become separated from the harder material to which was originally bound. Other than that the material was free of tearing, tattering dicoloration or cracking.For the price paid, which was about half as much as the standard shipping on the item, I don't think I could complain if this one only lasts as long as the one which it replaced. It's certainly better than one which you might find for a bargain at a Walmart or dollar store.

Just got the case and first impressions are good. Youre able to charge it while the case is closed if you swivel it around. Power, volume controls, sd slot and ir blaster are all open and easily accessible and the speakers are unencumbered as are the cameras (front and back). The stylus is also easily accessible without needing to remove the case. I really like the swivel function and the way it sits in the grooves securely. I didn't really care for a case with a magnetic closure and the elastic strap seems to be of good material and it doesn't stick out obnoxiously. I didn't give it 5 stars because I expected the color I ordered to be more vibrant but instead of being a vibrant purple it's more of a dull plum, also it has a strong paint? smell but I'm hoping that smell will dissipate as the product is now where it can air out. Anyway, seems to be a good product for the price and I received it in a timely manner.
