Waterproof Mighty Audio Spotify Player

UPDATE: I am now 8 days past the return date and unfortunately after just over a month of usage in the pool, it has starting "popping" in the headphones then shuts off. I can hear my playlists announced, but not play any material from them. Loud popping like a headphone jack connection issue - then shuts off. Very frustrating as this is my replacement product for a previously defective unit. lowering rating to 1 star. Buyer beware - it's glitchy and for the price was expecting a much better quality product. I have reached out to Support to see what they can do so I may revise my review later.1st order was defective. Constantly disconnected. Never was able to sync any music as it said software needed updating, which it did not. Support was no help as they wanted me to Send a Report through the device but that was broken also. Wasted over 3 hours on the day I got it trying to get it to work. Packed it up, returned it for a replacement. The 2nd device worked immediately - no problems at all. SO if your device isn't working properly right out of box, don't waste your time, return it for another. Perhaps bad quality control??

Overall this is a great little device. The size is perfect. It clips easily to the head band of my goggles and is too small to create any appreciable drag. It is so tiny I can store it in my goggle case with the goggles. The convenience of being able to drag and drop Spotify playlists is more than worth the price. The controls are pretty easy to use, even when it is on the back of my head.I had been using the Wifzu waterproof pouch, which worked, but it was a pain to use and created drag no matter how I used it. I also did not like putting my expensive smartphone in a pouch and submerging it. So this was a huge upgrade.Setup of the Mighty was pretty buggy. It took 3 tries to get the firmware to update and more than that to get Spotify to connect. I ended up having to reset it to get it working. Also the Mighty takes 30-40 seconds to boot, longer than my phone or my laptop. The earbuds are not going to impress any audiophiles but they work well enough for me and sound better underwater than in the air (like the Wifzu headphones). Overall I highly recommend it.

I backed the original Mighty on Kickstarter exactly 4 years ago to this day. Last year when they began looking into a waterproof version of the Vibe, I was beyond excited.So far, I am very glad that the team chose to work with AudioFlood for waterproofing. While I have not yet gone swimming with the device, I have submerged the Mighty in the bathtub for about 30min. Suffice it to say, it still works, with no issues.If anything changes when I finally go swimming, I will update this post.Thanks, AudioFlood!

This sounds like the perfect portable player especially since I have Spotify. But, listen, unlike I did, to the reviews.I charged, connected and even loaded songs relatively easily the first day I got it. But, then I tried to use it today (the second day). The Bluetooth won't connect and the player will not pair with the app unless I plug it in first. I go to the Spotify tab and it says that I need to update the software. I go to settings and click the update software but nothing happens.I am very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Purchased 1 year and 7 months ago. Had to send in for replacement once during that term because the plastic spring housing for the clip broke. Mighty was great about replacing it. But then the spring housing broke again just a month or two later on the new player. So I was snagging my swimsuits because I had to stuff it under the shoulder strap and it would keep falling out while swimming. I also found it annoying that I had to bring it home from my gym locker every month in order to re-sync everything when my playlist hadn't changed. The re-sync takes awhile, and it caught me off guard a few times where I'd be swimming along and then everything would stop and I was only 5 minutes into my workout. Now, 19 months later, the device has died. Won't charge, won't power on, nothing. I don't think I will purchase another unit of these. Looking at my options now with orbital bone headsets that are out now.

I've been wanting something to listen to my music while a do my laps for a very long time! I've only used them once so far, but I'm really enjoying them. My preferred music streaming service is Spotify, and being able to play my Spotify playlists while I swim is just the best! I think the only thing I found slightly annoying is the instructions could be better... but once you download the correct app for your phone, it's really simple, and self explanatory.

Still trying to figure out the best ear tip for my ears, but after three days in the pool, I love it! I lap swim for two hours every day, and have missed having music while I swim. This was the perfect find. The waterproof speaker (that came free!) is a nice bonus as well.Realize you are still in the water and it may not be like wearing regular earbuds. I think the sound quality isn’t bad for something worn underwater.Makes my daily swim routine even more enjoyable.
