I have supplied these books to both my grandsons as well as my own children at the appropriate time in their development. They have all enjoyed these books and kept them in their collections and read them over and over. You cannot go wrong giving all the adventures of Jack Sparrow to those children around you. They will love you forever.

My Son is 10 years old. I have been pushing him to read for a long time. He started out reading one, and ask me to buy the rest for him. he reads every night for 1hr. Just the other day I heard him say maybe he will read 2 hrs a night. I was so happy to hear that. I thought I could never break him away from all his Video games.

My 10-year-old LOVES these books - great story line with lots of action.

She loves all things "Pirate" including movies with Johnny Depp. I bought the first 4 books in the series. She read them all in 5 days! Will get more! Thanks...B

Great books for my 8-year old son. I wish I could find the next 4 or more as a boxed set.

My son (9 years old) loves this series and he hates reading.

My seven year-old son loves these books! Admittedly they are a little violent, but it is acceptable to us. They are quick moving and exciting and are perfect to help instill a love of books to a boy in particular. (As a mom, I must also say that girls will like them too!) The reading level is high so expect to read these aloud to younger children and explain some of the vocabulary. We were sad to see how few of the additional books are available on Amazon (especially at a reasonable price), but have found them on used book store websites.
